Great Location for First Time Visit to LA

Located in the Financial District, this hotel was perfect for us and our 12 year son who arrived late off the flight from London. Prestigious, safe and familiar, they even had filming going on whilst we were there! Valet staff were particularly friendly and very helpful. Only downside was that we were located on the 12th floor but there was no insulation so we could hear traffic throughout the night - but that's only my husband being picky! Well recommend!

Down Town Angel City

Pros: location
Location: Right at the bottom of Bunker Hill, just down the street from MOCA, Disney Music center, Dorothy Chandler Theater,
Great downtown location, very quiet nights. The King Rooms are a little small but compared to European rooms they are large. The Hotel Staff were absolutely the very best, across the board. The room Service Breakfast was great. We can not say enough great things about this hotel !! You won't be disappointed.

good location and great guest service

The room was just right for space and the room service food was excellent being that when I arrived I had no time to find a place to eat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Downtown LA for the first time.

Clean and friendly

Pros: Located in downtown Los Angeles
Location: Downtown shopping on Fig&7th, Little Tokyo, Good Eats, and quick drive to La Brea tar pits and Universal.
Stayed two nights service was excellent. Business center easy to use. Vallet service available.

Well located but not top service

Hotel is well located but overall, reception staff not very accommodating or welcoming, and probably prefer business guests rather than Hilton silver or gold members!

2 nights at Hilton Checkers

Staff is very nice as she helped client's issue & location is good, only the lobby is small to entertain if there is a big group of ppl but it is really nice & comfortable :-)

There are much better options in Los Angeles

Pros: Location
Cons: The front desk staff. The fact that non smoking rooms are right next to smoking rooms so you still get a room smelling of smoke.
Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk and we waited for some time for someone to arrive. We were then told they were sold out of the rooms we had booked and paid for. Then again after a long period we were checked into a room, and we were told it was not a double room with two beds (we had received a king). Yet we got to the room and there was a king bed after all. However the room reeked of smoke. We immediately called the front desk and said we had asked for a non smoking room. We were told our room was non smoking but directly next to the only two smoking rooms in the hotel. Exhausted from our travels we resigned ourselves to the fact that the front desk staff was not going to change our room as they had already told us it was sold out so we slept in that room. The bed was also incredibly uncomfortable. Upon check out there was an epic line that was not moving. I walked up finally after 15 minutes, handed our key and left. Would not stay here again.
