Sweating it out

We arrived at 12 am (we booked 30 minutes in advance), and upon entry, our room temperature was 86 degrees. We were so tired, but who can sleep in a sauna? It took a good hour for our room to cool down once we turned on the AC. I understand the need for energy conservation, but for $200/ a night when all you want to do is sleep, the last thing you expect or want to do is sweat it out. Don't stay there in the middle of summer, but if you do, call in advance and request they turn your room's AC on.

Sorry for the hot room. We normally turn on all AC's when it is hot to prepare the rooms for all arrivals. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of the stay..

Six. Flags perfect spot

Close to 6 Flags and has a courtesy bus

The staff and facilities were great. We stayed there because it was close to 6 Flags amusement park. It was a really good way to spend time at the park and the hotel has a courtesy bus to get you there and back. There is free parking and WiFi, the room was well air conditioned, and there is a pool.

Very close to Magic Mountain and restaurants. Staff was awesome and the free breakfast was great. Quiet and safe.

The Struggle

Reserved online coming in late from Santa Barbara. My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay from our exhausted graduation trip we took. When I came to the front desk, they checked for vacancy and was told the system was down and could use their computers so I did. No luck! I used my phone to book a King bed room, which then never came up on the hotels files. I had to call Expedia and get it all sorted out and my girlfriend and I were exhausted during this whole time. Once it all got fixed we walked into our room and noticed it was a handicap room with 2 beds Not a king! Called the front desk and was told that was all they had left. I was never told this in the beginning or after I was given my room keys. Too tired to be angry or argue we spent the night there but it was the worse experience at a hotel and with Expedia. Hope I can get a king bed room free of charge from the hotel or Expedia since I paid for a king not a 2 queen handicap room

Not sure what Expedia sold you but you must have arrived during Night Audit and that is when they close the books and the system is down for about an hour or so. Great Hotel for Magic Mountain

Hotel staff was super nice. From the front desk and shuttle driver to the wait staff at breakfast, all were super nice and helpful. Tips: Make sure to ask the front desk for your breakfast vouchers when checking in. Breakfast otherwise is $14. Less for kids. Omlets made to order and panckakes. Juices, surgery cereal, and a small assortment of muffins and fruits. There isn't any complimentary bottle water in the room but I saw bags behind check in with bottle water in them. So ask for them when checking in cause I think they forgot to give us ours. The shuttle is super convenient to take back and for between the park. Make sure to get the number from the driver when getting to the park. I usually just called them when I was walking out and they were there within 5-10 mins max. If you want an early shuttle to get to the park when it first opens, get on the list. It will book up for the first few rides over. If ur like me and never have cash on ya, throw a few bucks in your wallet so you can tip the driver or waitress at breakfast. It wasn't expected, but the people are really so super friendly, you will probably wish you had a dollar or two on ya. The cable channels have plenty of kid friendly channels. We watched a bit of old school Scooby Doo every night before bed.

Price & Condition do not match

Pros: Staff was friendly
Hotel was quite pricey for the age and condition of the property. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean. The hotel overall was older and outdated. Not what I had expected for a $200+/night room.

Close to Six Flags

Pros: Close to Six Flags, complimentary cookies in the afternoon a nice touch. Also, even though the hotel was right near the busy freeway, it was quiet.
Cons: Front desk staff could smile more and exude a bit more friendliness. Some did, but it was hit and miss...
Location: Walking distance to a couple of restaurants - Red Lobster and Wendys to name a couple.
Some great things about this hotel - it's close to 6 Flags with courtesy shuttle, which is very convenient. Little touches like water and freshly baked cookies every afternoon were lovely and appreciated. The food at breakfast was great, and service in restaurant prompt and courteous. I wasn't entirely happy to discover hair that didn't belong to me in the bathroom, and an in-room safe would have been appreciated. But the staff did their best to be helpful - although I think they could smile more. Overall I was happy with my stay and would stay here again.
