The staff was not great

Posted Apr 14, 2017
The staff was uninformed about the kitchen hours and at one point there was only one person at the front desk with 3 people waiting on a Friday afternoon, with a convention going on. The room was cleaned but when we came back it smelled bad.... and breakfast was overpriced. I had a much better breakfast the next day at a local restaurant for literally half the cost. Although the facilities were clean and there seemed to be more people working at the front desk on saturday, I will not be staying on that hotel again. But I would give 5 stars to the valet people who were professional and polite.

Pros: Its Hilton! Enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
Cons: There was construction going on in the above floors, but I did not take it as a negative.
Location: The civic center and surrounding places to go were great.
Loved the nearness to the location of the event attended.

This is what they call a "Mountain View".

We paid $290 SPECIFICALLY for the view. Not worth the money.

Well-appointed hotel right in downtown area.

Posted Feb 2, 2017
Pros: The location and Hilton quality
Cons: Bathroom door (see above) and mirror in the room.
Location: Excellent restaurants nearby -- Yard House, Mi Place, coffee shops.
The hotel lobby, bar, coffee shop and ease of valet parking are very good. The room was good but I don't care for the sliding bathroom door with shaded glass. It lacks privacy. When someone gets up in the night, the light from the bathroom is intrusive. Also there is no mirror in the main room and no full length mirror. The location is great -- easy walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Easy on/off from freeway.

Parking killed it for me

Posted Jan 25, 2017 on Hotels
Be aware that there is an additional parking fee of $19 for self parking and $21 + Tip for valet for each vehicle to park in a confusing parking structure that is shared with surrounding businesses, on top of your room reservation fees. If you want a room with a fridge, be sure to ask or read the room description, I obviously did not read it, as there was no fridge. The walls are very thin and you can hear you neighbors conversations and a lot more, and vise versa. The bed was comfortable and the view of the San Gabriel Valley out the window was very nice, specially at night. Not quite what I expected from a Hilton. Stayed at other places less expensive and much more comfortable and convenient. Will not be returning and definitely not recommending anyone to stay here.

A great hotel for business travelers.

The stay overall was very good. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and knowledgeable (with the exception of the parking garage staff). Be prepared to pay $19 per night for parking. Also, keep in mind that this hotel caters mainly to business conventions. So if your traveling as a family, I would recommend checking out other establishments.
