"Great Location"
Walking distance to Americana and many, many restaurants along Brand Blvd. But be prepared to walk up and down steep steps. The hotel is located on the second floor of a commercial building and there are no elevators. Pack light unless you enjoy lugging around 50lb luggage up and down the stairs of the hotel and its parking space.

"Mid renovation?"
Check in was smooth and my assigned room presented quite nicely - freshly painted walls and new faux-wood flooring. However... as I was settling in I realized that I had a table but no chair(s). I had NO closet.... there was the obvious space for one but no rod nor shelf of any kind. The bathroom has a new walk-in shower (very nice), but only a pedestal sink and NO counter space or shelving for toiletries and NO towel rods or racks! I never could get hot water in the sink, though it worked fine in the shower. As I was only there for one night, I dealt with it, but I can't imagine why they would assign a guest a room so obviously in the process of being re-done.

"Decent price but over rated for sure."
Considering how much hotels cost in this area, this one had a decent price and was close to where we wanted to be so that was good. But over all this place was nothing spectacular. Room was on the small side, the location was next to a loud noisy freeway, more motelish than hotelish. People were nice but parking cost extra per night. Go for the price but keep expectations low.
