Just had one night. We were hoping for a ghostly visitor. That didn't happen or we slept through it. Our room was very nice and quiet. Slept like a baby. Staying on the Queen Mary was inexpensive compared to any other place in Long Beach. We have to do this again. Loved our time there.
The positives: the room was clean and the beds comfortable (even if a little springy), the rate was decent for the exorbitant LA standards (~$150 for an end of August stay + $18 parking) The negatives: The hotel was undergoing renovations so the front desk was a temporary table and there were barely ...
The location is perfect if you want to stay in Hollywood. Bathroom was very small, otherwise the room was comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quite, this is not a hotel for you since the location is busy and noisy. The lobby is way too dark, there is supposed to be coffee there but I was ...
The hotel is going through a renovation which means you check in at a makeshift reception. From what we could see the new reception and pool that's coming is going to be awesome when it's built. We didn't have the smoothest check in with our first room being occupied by a lady in her underwear.... ...
I actually really liked this hotel but certain things turned me off. My bed sunk in as soon as i laid on it and im a 120lb girl. It was a bad way to start my stay, but the retro vibe grew on me. I would just comment on airing it out and maintaining it clean. There was a lot of dust.
We have stayed there a dozen times but the cleanliness was really bad in the common area this time. But this is not uncommon in the Los Angles Basin . Our room was clean and in good condition. You can't beat the price or location
Located a couple of minutes walk from the metro station (Vermont/santa monica) so easy to get around town. Pretty good breakfast especially the egg station manned by the delightful Hugo.
Our room had a view of Capitol Records - was amazing. The room itself was awesome, great decor with a record player and records! The shower was brilliant as was the kitchenette. Highly recommended. We did know there was no pool or gym - if you like either of those you won't have access to one.
