Such a beautiful property and well worth the amount. The location was a serious plus- close to plenty of restaurants, venues and still had the peace and serenity of a bed and breakfast in a secluded setting. This is the place to be for a wonderful vacation and excellent nights of rest. The staff was phenomenally helpful and supportive. The restaurant had the best food I’ve had in ages and it was a blast!

We were VIP, but didn’t even get offered a room upgrade and one of the rooms we had didn’t match the other room which had an additional sofa we paid for. That’s the only downside, otherwise this hotel is worth every penny and the grounds are amazing!

The building is old but in good condition, we had ants in the room probably because all the rooms has an access to outside . Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would not stay in this hotel again not worth the price.

Hotel Bel Air is truly one the most exceptional places if not the most exceptional place I’ve ever stayed. Staff beyond compare, the rooms are incredible. Elegant and luxurious, without ostentation. I was able to get work done and also deeply relax. From the minute I arrived I felt my shoulders drop and felt the warm welcome of this unparalleled Shangri La. Do yourself a favor and book a weekend at Hotel Bel Air. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A quiet and serene place. We always enjoy a lot of the hotels own amenities while there. Good food and almost all facilities are open. Still waiting for the piano bar to get back :-)

Ideal Safe Getaway
This secluded boutique hotel was ideal for some respite in the midst of Covid. Staff followed state and city pandemic protocols, masks were required in public spaces and the patio off our room was ideal and relaxing for our breakfast. Food was wonderful, staff was attentive and kind. We were easily able to keep a safe distance from other guests (I'd say we only saw two other small groups of bubbled travelers while we were there. Smart lights, spacious spa tub, steamy two-head shower were all in our room. Don't miss the swan lake and nature path on the property. Next time ill bring a book for that meandering trail.

Another flawless stay at the HBA~ Food and service continue to impress. Perfect Christmas staycation. The property is as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. Staff is impeccable and unmatched in LA or even California, definitely in my top 10 worldwide.

Extremely polite and professional staff. Smooth check-in and check out. Could maybe figure out a mobile check out. Couldn’t take advantage of the spa or gym because of COVID-19 restrictions. Next time. Had one dirty coffee cup by the pool which we asked to be changed for a clean one.

Our second visit was flawless (I said in my last review that this was a place you'd want to come back to again and I meant it). The HBA doesn't rely on flash and superficial luxury to impress. Superb comfort, attention to detail, and quality of service is what sets it apart. The staff is truly the best I've seen in all my travels and you can feel they enjoy and have a genuine pride in managing their guests. Even though it's exactly what we came for, still amazed again by how private the property is despite being a quick drive from all that LA has to offer. If you've never stayed at the HBA, do yourself a favor and try it at least once, and I guarantee you'll want to come back. If you've been here before, enough said, you know what I mean.

The Hotel Bel-Air is a rarity in LA where most 5-star hotels offer friendly but casual (ie loose) service. The HBA staff is top quality and ride the fine line between friendly and formal with aplomb. The atmosphere, rooms, and facilities are the most private you'll find in LA without having to drive hours out of the city. The menus for the restaurant and in-room dining don't seem all the special at first glance but each seemingly regular item is prepared to perfection. This is not your standard hip and stylish LA 5-star boutique hotel. The HBA exudes comfort and class and makes you feel like you're on vacation at a resort. A true getaway in the city, this is a place you'll want to come again and again... and again.
