Certainly overpriced. Some ridiculous ‘resort fee’ added to the price. Front desk staff seemed to be bothered by someone needing assistance. The bed too up most of the room. The hostess at the restaurant sent me to the bar instead of to a room for a surprise birthday party. We missed the “Surprise!” But we heard it from the bar…

The staff were exceptionally helpful during our stay - giving us great recommendations and some help with travel needs. I loved staying at this location in its earlier incarnation and it's good to see this gorgeous hotel and the greater DTLA area getting back up to speed. I'm looking forward to returning and seeing the hotel provide all of its former amenities, like room service.

Very nice property but definitely not a 5 star hotel, yet. Probably barely 4 star. Staff was very friendly and the rooms are very nice, however ... no breakfast or lunch service in the restaurant. No room service, rooftop bar not open 2 of the nights we were there and when it did open it closed at 8 PM. Staff started closing the main restaurant and bar 30 minutes or more before closing time. Nice lounge area near the bar but no wait staff. You had to order at the bar and serve yourself. Doorman was great but most guests had to take their luggage to their room on a cart themselves. Very limited counter space and no towel racks in bathroom. Inadequate lighting in the sitting room of suites. We were supposed to get a $30 dining and bar credit every day. Staff promised to take care of it when we checked out yesterday but it still has not shown up. $35 daily amenity fee was charged but not sure what amenities we received other than a bottle of non-brand water in our room. No restaurants or lounge services during the day, no rooftop services.
