This Hyatt property is a nice spot in the middle of a very busy downtown area. This is not at all what we were expecting based on the photos advertised on Expedia. The location also was not what was expected. The area is extremely unsafe for tourists to the point that the hotel staff cautioned us about walking around the local streets. At night, even though we were on the 7th floor, the noise from the streets below kept us awake most of the nights. I will never stay in Long Beach again and hope that Expedia will improve their advertising -example -there are absolutely no beach or water views from the building as advertised and walking to the waterfront is not safe. This is an extremely industrial town. Having said that, the Hyatt itself was a clean and friendly atmosphere.

PROS: Had a great experience from the moment we arrived! We had 2 car seats, 1 stroller, 2 backpacks and 1 large suitcase. Andre, the doorman immediately came out with a trolley and helped us load it up while we wwre trying to get the kids sorted and as we were checking in he stayed close by to hear what room we were in so he can walk a head and took our luggage up. Once we got up to our room, Tracy had just finished preparing it (checked in at 10am) and offered us extra towels. She had also over heard us noticing we needed to request a crib and she took it upon herself to have one sent up. Wonderful genuinely friendly service. The room and bathroom were spacious. Right beside an outlet centre, 5 min walk from the aquarium, 15min walk from Vons, clean safe area. CONS: lighting in the room was a bit dim for such a spacious room, the constant loud revving from cars. Summary: would stay here again!

Beautiful hotel with great style. Parking was across the street and about $16/day. A bit of a walk to the beach, but a lot of stores nearby.

This property was great and conveniently located. It was next to a good amount of restaurants and shopping stores and there were also restaurants that were walking distance. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The staff make the 4 star property a 5 star. We go back here again and again when staying in LA because of good value, location, and truly good staff service from Juan and Darnell specifically. If they take care of you you're in good hands. The free water bottles are a huge plus as well!! Shout out to Juan and Darnell who are so good at their jobs you remember their names!!

The family and i had an amazing time. Customer service is 5 stars. We were greeted with a very warm welcome soon as we walked in the Centric. Mr. Trujeque, checked us in and was able to upgrade my party to executive suites! When i return, i will definitely stay at this location again.

Don’t rely on hotel info!
False advertising! Agree with previous comment that the King room shows photo with a sofa and armchair, very spacious (that’s why we booked this hotel), but instead we received a tiny room with barely room for the bed. Sean at the front desk admitted they need to change the photo, and said that no “standard” room has a sofa. He gave me a Hyatt account and said I’d get a free night, but the account doesn’t work online and I’m on a cruise so can’t call. The first time we’ve had this kind of problem with a hotels.com booking!

It was amazing as the details was described. Close to every restaurant and shopping district and the best walking distance to the Long Beach Convention center. Love the smell of the ocean breeze. I will make the next future reservation again for the next event in Long Beach.

Nice and clean hotel. A lot to do and eat in the area. The only bad thing is the parking situation although there is a parking garage close by, there should be a voucher from the hotel, it was inconvenient to have to be paying each time you wanted to leave and re -enter the parking garage. Also the garage pricing was pretty high.
