Won't use this hotel again.

Pros: The room was very clean.
Cons: I could have had the room that was confirmed.
Location: Location is downtown, Santa Clarita, very centrally located. Has a convention center, golf course right behind the hotel, lots of boutique shops.
My son and I arrived about 8pm, it had been a very long day. We were told our King size bed was ready, informed the desk that we had confirmation, from Expedia, that we had two Queen beds. We were told that they didn't have any queen beds and that it was "Expedia's fault", that they had sent me a confirmation, but reserved the wrong type of room. We settled for a King plus a roll-away. We were then assigned to an occupied room. Trudged back down to the desk, luggage in tow, re-assigned another King w/roll-away. As my son is 6'5" he got the King, which he called a $10 mattress, I took the roll-away; it was horrible. About 8" off the ground, felt like something stuffed with straw and held together with plastic cables which could be felt every time I moved. It was a long, uncomfortable night. The following morning we went down to breakfast buffet; the French toast was burnt. ** The Housekeeping staff was very professional, the café waiter was pleasant and professional, but I paid a lot for a lousy night's sleep.

Convenient to town center.

Pros: Convenience.
Cons: Restaurant.
Location: It was centrally located and convenient to the downtown area.
Average to good chain hotel. Comfortable. We had problems at breakfast with very slow service from the kitchen although it was not at all busy. My breakfast had to be sent back and the replacement didn't arrive until after my wife had finished eating hers.

Last minute getaway

Booked this hotel lest minute. Bed was a very comfortable king size, room was clean, towels smelled like bleach so you know its clean, heated pool and a hot tub, 24 hour gym. It was a nice stay TV selection was limited and the balcony attached with others,removable shower head placed at an awkward height.

Comfortable hotel close to CalArts campus & mall.

Pros: Basic, clean hotel with solid lobby restaurant.
Location: Shopping and restaurants a walkable distance away.
We stayed there for a CalArts event - it's <10 mins to campus, very convenient. It's also walkable distance to the Westfield Valencia Shopping Center for shopping and family dining. Buffet breakfast was nice (full range of eggs, bacon/sausage, fruit, pastries; plus made to order eggs and omelettes), even if overpriced at ~$20/person. Beware that you will not receive Hyatt Reward Points if you book through Expedia - I was not aware of this until check in.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover

My family and I took a road trip and wanted to stay at a nice hotel. When we arrived at 10 PM we were greeted with a group of revellers blocking the only remaining narrow driveway. The valet staff did the usual putting a lot of fancy and nice cars out front so many that they were blocking anyone and everyone from entering to check in all red zones etc filled with parked cars. After a few minutes we got our stuff off the car but I wasn't allowed to check in as my car was blocking the driveway I was told. I went to park the car. 15 minutes later I arrive in the lobby to learn the front desk wouldn't check my family in until I arrived. When I did arrive the front desk guy was so occupied with phone calls he couldn't check us in. I understand that to finish the call your on makes sense. But to take two more calls with a tired family standing in front of you for the last 20 minutes is just rude. When's he did check us in it was cold and clinical and he offered no assistance or asked if we wanted any help. We wandered a bit pushing the hotel cart looking for the elevator. We finally get to our room and we climb in bed only to hear the coming and going if more party goers. This kept going until 3AM. No help from staff to quiet the other guests. We get ready to leave at 8AM and when we get to the lobby there are cops everywhere. What?! I was told to go back to my room and wait. We went back and the view from our room was startling. Over 20 cop cars, police everywhere.

It was very clean, nice pillows, and wonderful breakfast. Just spectacular! I will be back I enjoyed watching the Tv because there was just awesome channels I wish my tv at home could be like that thanks again Hyatt! My new home away from home. All I am doing now is just making sure my reviewis long enough to go through. If you guys actually read this please send me some coupons I'd really appreciate that

Nice hotel close to Magic Mountain

Friendly staff. Only problem was some college kids had a room key and they were still using the pool even though they weren't staying there. So the hot tub was crowded.

Disappointing staff

The staff is unfriendly and aloof they refuse to make eye contact and if you make a small request they huff and puff! The breakfast is a disgrace they should be embarrassed!
