The area is great. The location of the hotel in relation to UCLA campus is convenient. However, the sleeping accommodations are sub-par. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard, old. Leave much to be desired. The room with 2 beds is super cramped and the double beds are impossible to sleep on. Really bad, actually, especially at this price point. Felt like we were sleeping in the dorm room. Impossible to sleep with AC, as AC sounds like a massive generator that supports a small factory. Extremely loud, unbelievable. Highly suggest a hotel manager tires sleeping in room 1120 to see just how unbelievably unbearble it was. Some of the staff members are good, but some are sub-par and not helpful nor caring. Will definitely stay at a different property next time.

Staff was not helpful in securing room by preference despite selection ahead of time. Bed and especially pillows are uncomfortable (no support). No complimentary water in room. Shower pressure is poor, and temperature control is not gradual enough. I've had better stays in cheap hotels.

Nice base for West LA
Very happy with stay, staff extremely friendly and helpful. A few great amenities, like free Uber rides to locations near the hotel.

terrible hidden fees.
Buyer beware! Many hidden fees at this hotel. The hotel staff were professional, the rooms were clean/comfortable, location was good. Regrettably, I am compelled to share my concern for the hidden fees they add to your hotel bill at check out. Guest amenity fee $32/day + a plethora of LA city fees totaling $26/day. In addition, the hotel is still charging a "Hotel Worker Protection Ordinance Surchage" fee of $11.75/day. This fee was added to every bill during the Covid pandemic. The pandemic is over, it's Q4 2023. Covid is now better characterized as endemic like the flu. In total we paid 69.75.day in additional fees not disclosed during the booking process or at check in. My family stayed a total of 5 nights so the total additional charge was 348.75! You can imagine my annoyance at check out. Avoid this feeling, book your stay elsewhere. 100% lack of transparency from this organization.

They were horrible. I booked an upgraded room through Expedia and also paid extra to have a king bed since I was traveling with my GF. They were apparently fully booked and gave us a room with 2 full beds. Totally unacceptable and they blamed Expedia for it and said too bad. Poor customer service and fraudulent in many regards. They didn’t even try to make anything right after talking to multiple managers. Don’t stay here!

This property is solid. Not perfect - could use some touch ups on paint, furniture scuffs, etc. Love the lobby, bar, and hangout spaces - and the EV chargers (so many!). Helpful and friendly staff. Quiet room. It’s a great place to stay for meetings at UCLA or if visiting the Westwood area.

Great stay
We love Kimpton Palomar. Great location within walking distance from UCLA and east drive to Beverly Hills, museums, Universal Studios. The hotel is in great condition. They have a nice outdoor heated pool, a game room in the restaurant area. Wine hour, coffee in the morning. Great service.

The hotel was lovely. The staff was outstanding...friendly and competent. Loved the happy hour in the game room. And it was so quiet...wonderful visit. I'd stay there again. They do need to recover the divans in the dining room; a couple other areas looking a bit frayed.

Hotel in safe area. Food and bar area needs a remodel. Lack a shop to purchase incidentals. Never seen a policy where if your room is ready before 2pm they tack on a $50 early check-in fee.
