Guess the door!

Posted Nov 12, 2015 on Hotels
Dor keys and doors were not working correctly. The office clerk told us some did not work and some were tricky. Go out from one door and had to walk all the way around to enter the door that did work???? Breakfast choices were limited, coffee, cold cereal, sweet rools...,

No frills.

Posted Nov 4, 2015 on Hotels
There was a gift between two guests as we pulled up into the parking lot. Nothing escalated. The pool area was clean. Stains on the ceiling. No frills hotel. Microwave and refrigerator. Ac worked well. Quiet at night.

The desk clerk was warm, friendly, and efficient. They accommodated out desire for a non-smoking room. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Even though we were near the freeway, we could not hear the traffic or any noise from other rooms. There were several choices for breakfast. We plan to return to Knights Inn whenever we are in Claremont and enourage our friends to stay there also.

Close to Interstate 10- Too close

Posted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: The grass was trimmed.
Cons: Tear it down and rebuild. It is a Wyndam resort hotel. Obviously, they do not inspect their affiliate's properties.
Location: Claremont is a nice town.
I could develop a stand up comedy routine about this place. It is about 100 feet from the freeway. Trucks rumble through, cars and motorcycles are accelerating up the on-ramp right next to the building. It is loud! The pool has the sign advising anyone with diarrhea to please refrain from swimming. That didn't exactly inspire confidence in the hygienic conditions of the spa. No swimming for me. The last hotel remodel was, I suspect, in the late 1980s. That is possibly the last time the hallway carpets were cleaned as well. The overall condition of the place was dirty. The bath towels were threadbare, small and scratchy. The sheets were the same. Pillows were rubberized. The outside door had no lock but did have a metal bar to keep the door from opening. My room was never cleaned, even though I spoke to the cleaner as I was leaving for the day. The room next to mine looked as though there had been a chocolate cup cake fight. It was trashed. I got what I paid for.

A nasty place to stay

Posted Oct 16, 2015 on Hotels
This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. We were scheduled for two nights but could hardly stand the one night we were there. The only reason we stayed even the one night was because we arrived at 10 pm. I would not recommend this to anyone

Nice big rooms

Posted Oct 15, 2015 on Hotels
Booked a room to sleep at for our Oktoberfest fun at the fairplex. The hotel is only 3 miles away from the Fairplex so that was great! And a norms literally across the freeway! The staff was friendly and the neighborhood was good. The location of the hotel worried me a bit at first(because it's right next to the freeway) but surprisingly I barely heard it at all. The bed was comfy and clean, the bathroom was clean but really outdated the same with the mini fridge(but they worked perfectly) the room definitely needed a paint job and a change of carpet. The balcony was a nice bonus to our stay! Overall the hotel was good for our one night stay but it could really use a new interior paint job and lighting in the hotel hallways(it was dark inside, like one of the hotels from the horror movies and it was daytime outside!) for what you pay its worth it. I'll definitely stay again!

no so great

Posted Sep 10, 2015 on Hotels
The front desk guy was extremely rude. Well I was enjoying a breakfast (free) of cup of soup, hard boiled eggs and day old coffee. I saw him turn away 2 people saying they were full...then once they left he took down the no vacancy sign. The air conditioner didn't work very well. Just not a good experience of overall
