Nice hotel, in the center of the Los Angeles Area

Pros: Location, and staff was great. Room was extremely comfortable.
Cons: Increase temperature of the indoor pool. Install a hot tub / Jacuzzi either by the indoor pool or outside.
Location: 15 minutes from the harbor so you can take the Catalina express to Catalina Island. 20 minutes from Disneyland Park, 30 minutes from downtown LA.
Great Hotel, food can be pricey. Indoor pool was a little colder than advertised. The outside doors to it was always left open for some reason. I just closed it myself. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was kept clean. Staff was outstanding. Location of the hotel was across from Long Beach Airport get but you did not hear the jets inside the room. The airport is not as busy so it wasn't constant. We were able to get to our destinations both north & south of the hotel in very reasonable time.

Overall, great hotel in good location.

Pros: Rooms, beds, staff, location.
Cons: Nothing great or terrible to say about the food - just average (based on two breakfasts).
Location: Close to Long Beach attractions, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Los Alamitos Race Course.
For my purposes, this hotel is perfect. I've stayed there twice in recent business trips to LA. Eventhough the property backs up to the LB airport, it's surprisingly quiet. Very close to restaurants, retail, etc. Friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are clean & roomy with very comfortable beds. Lots of amenities that I didn't take advantage of - nice pool area, etc. I'll return again and recommend.

My Marriott stay..

Pros: Location
Cons: See above...
Location: The location was good.
My complaints are: The smoke detector went off a few times while I was sleeping, the heater/thermostat did not work, and while the lobby area was up to date and modern, the room was outdated and tacky...without a microwave.

Lobby/bar/coffee area was very nice but freezing cold! Need to turn the a/c down a notch for it to be enjoyable. Room was very comfortable and clean. My only complaint would be that the bath towels I hung up to be reused were taken and replaced...I do appreciate fresh hand towels and wash cloths daily but choose to conserve water by choosing to reuse bath towels

Great hotel

Pros: The pool area was roomy with plenty of seating, both poolside and patios. The lobby was spacious as well.
Cons: Spring for Keurig coffee makers in the rooms!
This hotel was beautiful. Great restaurant and Starbucks. But above all, the staff! Every single staff member was exceptional.
