Basic hotel no frills

Basic budget hotel no frills no amenities, not close to anything, no shops, no comforts. If you are looking for an over nighter to get you to point B it would do. It is depressing on the outside, right by a busy road, the pool area is depressing, and everything looks kinda old and gray. its okay if you are going to Universal studios and never going to be there, but this is not a place where you want to lie around the pool....noisy by day and everything is gray looking.
Universal studios is a 15 minute buss ride, and is the ONLY thing nearby. Everything else you are looking at a long Metro ride on the train and bus to go anywhere. On the upside, the staff were very kind, although they didn't know much and were not exactly helpful about directions to this and that ( i got misdirected to the laundrymat, sent on a half hour walk to what ended up being a dry cleaners so came back and told the guy at the desk and he didn't even say sorry.
Rooms are basic, clean. Weird tiny pillows so if you like a normal sized pillow don't expect one, these are basically cushions with pillow cases wrapped around them. No too comfy at night. Your head falls off lol.
Facilities include a coke machine with basic coke, water etc, and ice machine. My 13 year old son said he saw a ghost in the hallway....the only interesting thing about the whole hotel i think!
Overall, the place should be advertised as a 2.5 star, no more. Im giving the extra .5 stars for the ghost haha
