Diamond in the Rough

The hotel is obviously a conversion from an older apartment complex. If one is looking for the standard hotel fare, with valet, lobby, gift shop, concierge, etc, they won't find it here. However, the hotel is very close to the beach, the pier, restaurants, and the Santa Monica promenade. The rooms are spacious with kitchens, separate bedrooms, large living room with flat screen tv, plenty of closet space and nice bathroom.
And you can't beat the price. Nothing in the area compares.
To say that I was pleasantly pleased would be an understatement. In fact, this hotel will be my first choice any time I travel to LA, especially if my stay will be more than a couple of days.
I highly recommend it to everyone, regardless of whether it's family, a couple, or business traveler.
