hotel in renovationPosted Jan 26, 2016
Pros: Nice rooms
Cons: The elevator system as described above
Location: Downtown LA, Convention center and Staples Center are a few blocks away
The hotel was in the midst of being renovated. Most was done but the outside front was in scaffolding. The room has good. However I cannot imagine a worst elevator system. It was obviously brand new. Instead of buttons with floor numbers inside the elevators you had to pick your floor on an LCD when summoning the elevator. When there was a crowd of people during checkin half the people didn't notice this and boarded the elevator and couldn't get to their floors. Only about 40% of the floor numbers show up on the display at once so you might need to press a lower or higher numbers button. Inexplicably, when on your typical guest room floor, you always need to request two pages of lower numbers to find the lobby floor...how silly of a design...the most common place to go from a guest floor is down to the lobby or the floor below which is the restaurant. I suggested to the front desk clerk when I checked out how poor the system was and all she said was, Oh did you have a problem I'm sorry about, no one else has. Nonsense, I saw one woman loose her luggage when she hopped out to enter a floor number and the system assigned her floor to another elevator. Note that I understand the theoretical improvement in efficiency by scheduling fewer stops in each car, etc. But the implementation and signage could be better.

Pros: The restaurant was good and the staff very nice.
Cons: Lots. It looks nice but the staff really doesn't care about its customers needs
Location: Not as close as they said it was to the staples center.
Our first greeting was $37 a night to park our car. Then we went to check in. My daughter had her own reservation. She was told about the free wifi and was upgraded to a larger room for her and her companion. We had 4 ppl & weren't upgraded & told we'd have to pay for wifi. Our room was ok. The bathroom had hair on the bathroom counter and floor. 4 people 2 towels. Attitude was given when asked for 2 more towels. A football team & marching band were staying there too. It took an hour to get to our room at least 4 times. We weren't allowed to use the stairs. we asked the snarky rude manager if maybe they could use 3 elevators for them & 1 for the other guests They said no. Btw this large hotel only has 4 very slow elevators. We spoke to the front desk, manager, security etc. nothing but sorry no. When I went on Facebook it had a header that said "see what others say about the Sheraton" I clicked on it. Saw similar issues. The site expressed concern of my then current issues. They acted upon them. All of a sudden the hotel staff was apologizing & then and only then we had 4 towels, we were able to use the elevator. They gave us access to their private club and free parking. That was our last 2 days, last night there. the other 5 were stressful. Outside is under construction & a strong urine oder. Most likely from all the homeless people in the area

普通に良いホテルですPosted Jan 9, 2016

Excellent for a quick business trip. Take a cab from LAX to avoid parking expenses.

Nice hotel, local to bars but beware of parking!Posted Dec 22, 2015
Great hotel despite the fact that I was issued the wrong key card that did not allow me access to my included continental breakfast, drinks with free appetizers, or access back into my room the morning of checkout. Only negative thing I can think of aside from the above facts, was the parking. According to the Sheraton hotel it is listed on their website that big cars (in my case a truck) will not fit in their valet parking structure due to height restrictions. Expedia (my booking source) did not do a good job in clearly presenting this concern, so I was left looking for parking and walking for blocks finding parking in downtown L.A. to accommodate my vehicle. Utterly frustrating!

There was a lot of construction on the building, the entrance, the parking, and the surrounding areas that we were not informed of when making our reservation.
