Close to the Office

Posted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Club Lounge had a good breakfast and happy hour appetizer selection every day.
Cons: Couldn't figure out where the gym was located - confusing lay-out. Front desk staff might be more helpful in explaining where things were.
Location: Right next to Universal City.
Very comfortable, clean and quiet hotel - close to my office, so perfect for my needs. Front desk staff could be more helpful, but the Club Lounge was nice and the staff there were terrific.

Did not get the room I Booked

Posted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Better beds and rooms.
Booked a paid for a room with 2 queen beds and received a room with 2 double beds. Hotel would not fix the problem even though we had 2 kids and 2 adults that had to squeeze in the beds to fit. Hotel blamed expedia for the room and said they can not fix it. Rooms were small and loud all night. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable.

Rooms and pool area

The cabinets, lights, and TV are dusty. The lamp is broken. The pool area is filled with smoke from someone smoking joint. The construction area is an inconvenience.

Old hotel. Exists only because of its location.

Posted Sep 17, 2015
Hotel smells old, feels old, looks old. Creaky walkways. Old rooms with beds that are uncomfortable. Dining experience was nice, but overly expensive. Staff were nice, at least. The whole thing banks on the Sheraton name and location. Stay elsewhere.

Great escape without going far to enjoy time ways

Room was nice. Enjoyed free travel to and from to Universal City Walk. Great night to be outdoors. Will go back to stay for a short escape.

Nice but need to through other buildings to reach.

Posted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: Hotel itself is good.
Cons: Need pedestrian and sigh to get to hotel from subway station. Better have a shuttle service to Hollywood. That will attract more overseas travelers.
Location: Universal studio
Not clearly marked from where is the Hotel entrance from Subway station.

No longer worthy of the Sheraton name

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: location is great for visits to Universal Studios & Universal city, with shuttle service to & from.
Cons: Almost everything else, cleaning, rooms, décor, staff, management... all need work
Location: Right by Universal Studios & Universal City, but ensure you are higher up in the hotel, as hotel is right beside highway 101 & the noise can be a lot
Error on our reservation, then moved to a dirty room, then moved to another dirty room. When I called the manager regarding the third dirty room, my call was not returned... during our 4 night stay. I have stayed at this hotel in the past, but they have gone way down hill. I always came to this hotel, as I like the "Sheraton experience", however, this hotel no longer provides this experience. Very sad to see a once great hotel drop to this level.
