Recommended - with caveats

Older hotel seems to have been fairly recently updated but needing paint touch-ups, etc. in places. Nice large room with two queen beds, desk and chair (but chair rollers were inoperative). Small kitchenette area with sink, fridge and microwave. Laminate flooring is a nice touch (who knows what vile organisms may lurk in ordinary hotel carpeting). Bathroom sink is in a pleasant area adjacent to the tub and toilet which are in a separate room. Huge bathtub was very nice, my wife enjoyed bathing in it, but the high step over to get into the tub, coupled with a total lack of grab bars made it a bit awkward to enter and exit the tub and could be very challenging to some folks. The tub toilet area was very small, making it necessary to shinny around the side of toilet to close the door. Again, folks with significant girth may not be able to close the door at all. Worst thing was the breakfast area, that only sat four at a counter facing against a wall. Eggo type toaster waffles, a couple of types of cereal, bananas and Hostess-type cinnamon rolls completed the foods, along with a vending-style coffee machine, orange juice and milk. Only ate breakfast there once during our five-day stay. Fortunately an IHOP is only about a mile away. Staff was pleasant and when we needed maintenance (the tub stopper was broken and one light bulb was missing when we arrived) they were quick to take care of the problem. We may stay there again if we are in the Canyon Country area.
