an arrival is always asked for a quiet room. We replaced by the pool and we’re in a room where the air-conditioning machine was broken and making sounds all night. Woke up with screaming kids by the pool. The advertising of 24 hour room services is a joke because half of the items on the menu were gone and as a chef after checking in looking forward to room service and not having anything available. That was decent was incredible. In addition once they brought the food, they forgot some items. You were not able to buy a cocktail so if you want you have to buy a whole bottle and it’s a premixed drink and it taste awful and they want to charge you $50 for it. in an awful experience, the room didn’t even have proper temperature. It was extremely loud and it stunk in there when we got into the room. It was like 80° and it smelled bad too. I’ve been to this property for many years and it’s gotten worse and worse. Every time I go there I will not be going back here. I am a cater I live in Lunada Bay Palos Verdes Estates I’m a local and I’ve sent to Renee at least 200 clients plus this was a absolutely disappointment experience and the worst part of it is they just wanted to throw 100 bucks back at me. Nobody wanted to validate my experience. In addition, upon arrival, they charge this for the room all over again and now they’re keeping our $888 for 10 days after paying and advance through you. And then they said they could not help us or reimburse us for anything because we used u

Grounds are beautiful, taff were professional and courteous and I would have rated "excellent," but the ATM (Couldn't tip bellman/car service), and jacuzzi were down, which is surprising for a major resort.

Very accommodating and the staff was very attentive and helped with every request we had while staying at the Terenea Resort. There was a slight issue while checking out and attempting to use a gift-card for the services used/attended during our stay. But the staff worked to address the issues and worked with us to make sure that it was handled. Overall, the dining options, Bashi and Catalina Kitchen, and the Sea Beans coffee shop were all very nice and had great food and service.

This Hotel doesn’t have Bibles in their drawers. I felt very sick after we ate at Nelson’s. We left the property instead of staying the night as a result. It was loud with lots of kids voices in pool.

Overall if was very good and relaxing . The only issue is the service that is unreliable meaning not uncommonly your request for a service is fotgotten . Also in Catalina Kitchen restaurant the service is provided by non/ professional staff that has made it suboptimal . However overall it was a very good stay.

Our favorite family getaway in California is Terranea Resort!!! The beautiful nature & ocean view, the pools, the amazing spa and all the great restaurants… It’s only an hour and a half from our home and it feels as if we flew out of the country to Spain or Italy. We love this place and we’ll continue coming back again and again forever & ever!!!

Worst ever staycation experience. This hotel is just money hungry. Charging Ritz Carlton & Park Hyatt nightly rate while providing a worse than Marriott Courtyard or Hyatt Regency level of services. When you book an oceanview room, don’t expect it to be an unobstructed view. Also don’t expect this hotel to go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Room service will take more than an hour to arrive, and all you get is food that had probably been sitting in their kitchen for over half an hour - dry, ice melt, and not much warmth in food left. Clock in the room showing wrong time (no attention to details), unclear misc charges on your bill, and resort credit that came with the reservation only to be applied after making a request. (Both had been taken care of after communication, but they should not have happened even at the first place). I travel a lot for work and vacation. As a Hyatt Globalist & Marriott Titanium member, this is the only hotel (at over $700/night) that I did not receive a welcome letter, nor a welcome gift. Only hotel that did not refill your bathroom amenities for your second night of stay (tissues, bath soap, slippers, etc)…

Food, ambience, staff, and overall experience was incredible. We only live 1 hour away but it had a hawaiian feel to it, like we traveled to a far off destination. Will definitely be back for another staycation soon!
