Greta family hotelPosted Nov 23, 2015
Picked for its proximity to Universal Studio. Great family hotel. Free shuttle service to Universal and Subway stop handy. Room was comfortable and spacious. WIFI Ok in public areas but flaky in our room. A good supermarket (Ralphs) is 5 min walk away if you want a change from restaurant food. Lots of staff, all friendly and helpful.

Best hotel for a family visiting Hollywood!Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: Free shuttle to Universal Studios and the Metro. Great food selections. Family friendly (easy parking, easy check-in, bunk beds in room, etc).
Had a wonderful stay! Everything from check-in (at 10pm), to food (visited the restaurant, lobby bar, and used pool side service), to easy parking, to it's location - everything about this hotel was wonderful!

Very, very nice, despite wireless problemsPosted Nov 21, 2015
The staff were very attentive, courteous, and welcoming - we usually find that level of service excellence only in much higher-end hotels. Our room was spacious and clean, and quite pleasant in its funky retro way; also, there were plenty of connections for charging electronic devices, which was most helpful. The laundry facilities were reasonably priced and worked fast and well, and the complimentary laundry soap was an unexpectedly nice touch. We found the hotel restaurant to be quite good, and though not cheap, it was reasonably priced for the quality, and the service there too was excellent. Our one big disappointment was that the free wireless internet service was slow, bursty, and prone to extremely frequent disconnections - we could not possibly have gotten any serious work done (fortunately we were on vacation, but it was still annoying to have this difficulty since we were counting on using the net to find information to make bookings for tours etc). I mentioned the problem when I checked out, and the desk clerk apologized, and informed me that the hotel was in the process of changing providers for the internet service, so perhaps this problem will soon be a thing of the past. Aside from that one annoyance, we were extremely happy with our stay.

We liked the cool retro design of the room. The kids loved the bunk bed.

My go-to in North HollywoodPosted Nov 20, 2015
This is a stylish well-appointed hotel at an affordable price. It feels very much like a Kimpton to me, and I love Kimpton! The service is always good and the restaurant serves delicious food.

Ok but not my top choicePosted Nov 20, 2015
My toilet clogged and the plumber worked in the room late at night. They coffee cups leaked all over from their "Eco lids". I ordered room service one night and the Burger was raw inside. The building was old and funky and disjointed. I do say the valet was quick and nice.

Nice hotel away from the cityPosted Nov 11, 2015
If you are looking for a hotel in the Hollywood/LA area but don't want to feel like you are in the city, this is the place. Very friendly staff, comfy beds, nice pool, just an over all great atmosphere.

Best hotel in north hollywood!Posted Nov 6, 2015
Pros: Everything. The pool area. The front yard food is amazing.
Cons: Nothing. Keep up the great work.
Location: Close to Universal and Warner Bros
I adored my stay at this hotel. Front desk staff are very helpful and welcoming. I travelled around the US for 2 weeks and this was my favourite hotel in LA. The pool/spa area with bar was awesome. There are games to play with your friends or family and lots of towels available. The rooms are spacious. The free shuttle to universal was awesome and the hotel was also very close to warner bros studio it only cost me $7 with Uber to get there. The food is amazing. Go to the front yard and order Mary's chicken it's to die for! Thank you for a wonderful stay. I can't wait to come back.
