Boutique hotel in Abbot Kinney area
Posted Feb 13, 2017
We only stayed one night, and due to the (rare!) rainy conditions, could not use any of the nice outdoor perks of the hotel or walk much around.
The Kinney provided a good and safe shelter, and our room was a nice suite with plenty of space and charm.
They have a small pool and hot tub, and a cute outdoor bar and lounge area where you can bring your own drinks.
Also, ping pong tables -- too bad we could not use them in the rain.
Nice touches in the remodel of the place, from the rebuilt rotary phones to the pop-art bedside tables.
That said, this is not a new building, but a former motel or apartment building that has been refurbished and remodeled.
It doesn't feel fresh and new, and it's not cheap, but neither are nearby options for a comparable hotel class.
Kudos for the effort, the personality, and for the excellent personnel that runs the hotel.
