Great location close to several key destinations, however, it is in a bad area which I wouldn't walk at night. Plenty of restaurants near by to Uber or drive to. Check-in staff was wonderful. Valet staff just stood around, had to ask if they were valet to take our car. Valet charges are not put on your hotel folio, you have to pay separately at a cashier out by valet, which was sketchy. Like many downtown LA hotels, over priced for the age of the hotel and valet ($50/night) charges. Rooms were clean, small bathroom due to a stand alone shower IN ADDITION to a bathtub. Weird. Starbucks coffee in room with coffee maker a plus. Beds were comfortable. Some traffic noise on pool side, even at 8th floor. Didn't eat at restaurant or use the pool so can't comment on those amenities. Wifi was free even though the log in says you have to pay. Check-in staff advised us of this so there wasn't any confusion. Great convenience "store" in the lobby; they had a huge selections of drinks and snacks.
