I would like to have enjoyed more live shows. More variety on food at buffets

We enjoyed our stay at The Barcelo' Grand Faro Los Cabos. The staff was friendly, and Eva did a great job keeping our room clean and the refrigerator well stocked. Only complaint was, chairs by the pool. Not enough chairs. I had to go down at 4:00 am every morning to save chairs, or they would all be taken. First day there, I went down at 8:10 am and every chair had towels on them. Being from the east coast, I woke up at 4:00 am anyway, so was not a problem.

Very relaxing...

Pros: The food was very good. Buffets tend to lack taste, but the food here had great variety, was very fresh, and also very tasty. The pools were very nice
Cons: The room was a bit dated, but still clean and kept up.
Location: Its on the beach- what more do you want? There are stores and other restaurants very close by if you want to get out.
We stayed at the Barcelo four years ago, and were anxious to return. Imagine our surprise when we checked in and found that it was not the hotel we stayed at before. That hotel is a few properties up the beach and is twice the price. We were a bit disappointed to discover this, but this hotel was great.

The location is good, close to town, attractions.

Pros: The Bellboy upon arrival and during our stay was very nice and the security gentleman up front.
Cons: The service in general. The facility needs substantial repair/upgrades in order to fit the price tag. It didn't come close to Premium for us at all.
Location: There are plenty of services and shops both close by and within walking distance to historic San Jose Del Cabo. A nice area which seems to be growing.
Our experience started poorly at check in. We were given two small doubles instead of a king premium and had to stay one night,check out before 10:30 am and wait again until late afternoon (homeless) to get a king bed which was still not on a club premium floor. This alone cost us the premium we paid for it which we were not refunded. The housekeeping was awful and we were left without ALL our towels twice during our stay. One day we stepped in and the maid was sweeping while watching tv. We are accustomed to housekeeping propping the door open when they clean a room. Here the door was always closed with the cart blocking the way. The last two days we had to listen to an electric grinder and sander on steel while someone worked on the room right next door. This was all very disappointing considering it was only a 7 day vacation and we paid a premium for it! The Barcelo brand which we trusted in the past let us down in a big way this time around. The resort overall is in a fairly poor state of repair. Our toilet seat was not attached properly and I can't imagine the experience if we tried to have it addressed. Lots of rust and corrosion apparent. The particular room we experienced was about a 2.5 star at best!

All around nice resort!

If you want a relaxing getaway this is definitely the place to go. It's a nice resort for couples, friends and families. During the day the pool area is fun and entertaining, there is a DJ. Pools stay open late and adults only jacuzzi open til 11pm but they don't tell you to get out so as long as you're not too wild you'll be ok. They had some shows and performances at night which was entertaining. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The resort was very clean and well kept. Room was cleaned everyday and minibar restocked as well. The only annoying thing was that people will wake up at 7am just to place a towel over a set of chairs to "reserve them for the day". By 10am the pool chairs and beach chairs are filled with towels and personal items with no people in sight or in the pool! Lol .. the food was ok you can't expect top chefs at an all inclusive place. I wasn't a fan of the mixed drinks they were to sweet and thick like they used too much of the mixes.. your best bet with drinks is cranberry and vodka, shots or upgrade to premium and make your own drinks in the premium lounge. We stayed in an ocean view premium room.

Great experience!

Beautiful location, great food buffet, night life events was fun . The down side : can't find a lounge pool chair ! Don't think is right to keep towels on the chair over night to save your spot. Another down for me as the pillows , too small and not comfortable. Overall I like and recommend to a friend .

Nice hotel overall

Overall it was a very nice stay. The food was not bad but not great. Drinks were just ok. The hot tub was not hot enough and the pool was a bit cold. None of these things are deal breakers. Love the hammocks by the beach! Spa was very nice.

Loved how close the beach was. Perfect location.

Pros: We liked the views, the food, pools.
Cons: Some more things to do at night. Have beach parties more often. Things like that.
Location: Nothing to do near by. But did do a tacquilla and taco tour, the tacquilla part was a waste of time but we loved the sail boat and eating local
Spent a week eating drinking and laying by the pools. So relaxing.

Only drawback would be the waves on beach are very dangerous, but that's Cabo, Cab ride to Cabo San Lucas $45 unless with package excursion. Bus is $5
