short and sweet stay: so much fun!

Posted Jan 14, 2017
Pros: The friendly staff, price and location.
This resort accomodated English speakers very well! Everyone was very friendly and helpful to help us get the most of our stay. The location is fantastic- beach seems less busy compared to the Cabo San Lucas side. Price is good for everything there including amenities & food. About 10-15 minutes walk away there is a mini mall with more restaurants & everyday things you would need. There was a little construction going on during our stay but they only worked during business hours & we did not mind at all. I cannot wait to come back once the expansion is complete!

Nice hotel but some of the buildings are aging.

Posted Jan 11, 2017
You can clearly tell there are 2 buildings of different ages at this resort and they are adding another 600 rooms to the property. Unfortunately we were in one of the older rooms. The AC didn't work, the table was cracked, the microwave was broke, but there was another in the room, the bed was EXTREMELY hard. There was construction right next to us that left their lights on all night so bright that even the shutters didn't keep the light from flooding the room. While they did start late in the morning they went to 9-10 pm at night sometimes. You could not enjoy your balcony at all of in this building. The pool was nice and the wait staff was great! Once the hotel is completed it should be much nicer with a new pool as well, but until then if you cannot guarantee a new building accommodation away from the construction I would stay away. The other concern I had was the security of your room. Once we checked in we have a maid walk right in without knocking and we also found that the door to the adjoining room which was occupied was not locked.

Not what you paid for

Posted Jan 3, 2017
Pros: Rank and file staff was very pleasant and helpful. Nice location, right on the beach. Nice rooms, but suites w/ kitchenettes had no dishwares.
Cons: If you expect a big holiday crowd, then be prepared for it.
Average check-in time was 60 - 90 minutes. We had booked and prepaid a Beach Front Suite. When we arrived we were told we were being placed in an Ocean View room across the street from the main facility. Went back to the front desk and had to confront the staff with our printed paperwork to get them to find us the level of lodging we paid for. Everyone in the lobby was having issues with their rooms. Some like us were placed in cheaper rooms than paid for or reserved. Others had issues with no hot water, no electricity, etc. Some were given keys to already occupied rooms. On Christmas eve and Christmas day, there were too few staff and no food at the resort restaurants or long, long waits. This resort had grossly over-booked, was understaffed and not prepared for holiday guests.

Nice room, friendly staff; UNDERSTAFFED!

Posted Dec 30, 2016
Pros: Nice room, ocean view, friendly staff
Cons: FASTER SERVICE!
Location: Nice, sandy, swimmable beach.
The room was really nice and comfortable with an ocean view. The hotel grounds were pretty nice. The staff was really friendly for the most part, but they were very understaffed during our visit. Check in and check out each took 30 minutes or more. Getting our car from the valet service sometimes took awhile because there were only a few guys working valet. Our phone in the room wasn't working so we had to walk down to the lobby to order room service. Once we placed the order, the kitchen sent someone up to our room to let us know that they were out of pizza... made for an unpleasant and frustrating dinner experience. Priceline advertised a special "Free Breakfast for 2" offer, but the hotel didn't give it to us. They tried to say that Priceline was just advertising their early bird breakfast special, which was free breakfast if you ate between 6am and 7am... It was either very misleading advertising on Priceline's part or the hotel screwed up or didn't want to give us free breakfast ($11 per person for an average breakfast buffet).

Nice Hotel with spectacular ocean view

Posted Dec 28, 2016
Cons: The doors need to be weather sealed. The first night was very windy and the wind was whistling through the doors so loud that it was hard to sleep
Location: About 10 min bus ride to the outskirts of San Jose Del Cabo. Catch the bus right in front of the hotel. Can walk to great restaurant, Sardina Cantina.
We spent most of our time off the resort but the room, the view, and the staff were extremely nice. Especially like to thank Eric (Enrique) the bell boy. He was extremely personable and helpful and made our time in San Jose Del Cabo special.

Bad experience

Posted Dec 28, 2016
From the time of booking my experience with Expedia has been awful. Your customer service is 0/10. The hotel was under construction, under stafffed and pretty much clueless about servicing its paying guests. Why on earth would you charge the rates you charge for such a terrible hotel! I would welcome a refund or I will highly not recommend Expedia to the paying public.
