Good, but there's better options around

Listen, this is a great hotel to stay at for a couple of days, but it has a few quirks. A lot of small stuff is broken: locks on doors, lights, handles. There's no ATM on site but the hotel will gladly charge your card for a 10% fee (ugh).
The pool is great. The staff around the pool (and generally the hotel staff) is excellent. Pro-tip: tip generously and early.
The food is acceptable if you stay away from room service, which is awful. It's an all-inclusive place, but so is the Hyatt Ziva a few doors down, which offers superior food and drinks.
The hotel's transportation department (operated by Amstar) is ridiculous (and as expensive as all other private transportation in Cabo). I got overcharged (I'm still waiting for my refund), they're obsessed with paper vouchers and anything beyond a standard pick-up/drop-off is a challenge. Our party arrived in two parts; that's hardly rocket science.
So, I had a good time here. The kids loved it, the weather was great, and the views are amazing. There are better options around, though. I haven't done the math, but I'm not sure all-inclusive is worth it here.
