Great location..nice and quiet

The hotel location near lands end is breath taking. The last hurricane did some minor damage but nothing that affects the stay. Staff is friendly and the new sports bar is a great addition.Favorite spot is the pool for a relaxing get away and met some very nice people.

Best in Cabo

Pros: Everything
The Grand Solmar was the best resort if you like the best location (5 minute walk from the Cabo San Lucas Marina and a few hundred yards from land's end), the best relaxation (with plenty of swimming pools and spa facilities), a very quiet atmosphere (secure location not easily accessible to outsiders) and really great food and drinks. The staff (from the front desk, to maids, to food service personnel and even to maintenance/facilities personnel) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you want comfort and rest in a magnificent setting (right on the beach), this place cannot be beat!

This is a very modern, very clean hotel. There are multiple pools and places to eat. The rooms are very spacious and all have balaconies that look out to the see.

No vayan a este hotel nunca

Cons: todo, y que no traten de vender tiempo compartido, mejor que lo hagan exclusivo de 5 estrellas.
Location: no hay nada todo está muy lejos y los taxis son muy caros; ya ni en la ciudad de México
Es un hotel mal ubicado ya que para ir a la marina hay que tomar taxi carísimo o caminar muchos kilómetros. Todo carísimo, todo lo cobran en dólares, ¿por qué? si estamos en México, la comida cara y no muy buena, el personal no es nada amable. Siempre está lleno de visitantes porque lo primero que quieren es vender el tiempo compartido. Muy malo en cuanto a costo beneficio, me esperaba un hotel de 5 estrellas y para nada.

Cons: Los precios y la atención del personal.
Location: No hay nada que hacer y todo está carísimo en ese hotel; el personal que atiende no es nada amable.
El hotel está muy encerrado, todo está excesivamente caro, pedimos 2 cervezas y 2 refrescos al room service y nos cobraron 400 pesos. Hicimos una cotización para el spa con el paquete más económico y primero nos cotizaron en dólares (por qué si estamos en México!) y luego hicieron el tipo de cambio a 18 pesos y el total era de 7 mil pesos!!! por un masaje de pareja. Busquen un mejor hotel en playa medano o corredor turístico.

Location: Beautiful resort sitting next to the ocean. My wife swam with the dolphins and she loved it. We also did the adventure snorkel tour and we enjoyed it
This is a 5 star resort that's walking distance to the marina and a $12.00 cab ride to the inner city. We were concerned about being on the Pacific ocean which has very strong waves. This concern turned into a luxury. You can sit in the pool looking over the negative edge with the Pacific ocean in the background, very beautiful! The pool had a swim up bar and restaurant. If you want to go to the Sea of Cortez to swim you can take a water taxi to a beach and be there in 10 minutes. The views are spectacular! Food was very good but expensive. The Marina has several restaurants and shops. Average price per plate at the marina or in town was $12.00 plus drinks. As soon as you get off the plane the locals will be trying to sell you adventure packages. They are less expensive than the resort. We waited for a day to learn the type of packages than negotiated once we learned the cost. You will get a better price if you agree to spend 3 hours going through a time share presentation. We paid more and opted out of any presentation because this was a vacation, not a business deal!

Beautiful hotel with magnificent views

Stunning hotel, infinity pools, delicious food, excellent and attentive staff. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the marina, shopping mall, and tons of restaurants. The only negative was not being able to use the beach at our resort. Pictures of the resort are so enticing being so close to the ocean, but you are not allowed on the beach due to an undertow/rip current. We were unaware of this when booking but still had an amazing time!!! I would still highly recommend this hotel. Sergio was our waiter at the adult only pool and went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable at all times!! Ask for him if you visit this property.

Beautiful hotel. Studio large with new appliances Food at sushi bar excellent but average and expensive at other restaurants Staff wonderful 3 young women almost drowned. There is no rescue squad or life guards. No boats or ambulances arrived even after 20 min. Girls were saved by brave bystander who risked his life. Signs are not enough they need a rescue plan

Dear Bob We would like to thank you for your comments reagrding your recent stay. It is very important for us to clarify your comments, Yes, we do need a faster respond from our authorities when we have an emergency situation at the beach. At our beach, there are red flags all over the beach, each flag has information; We have big signs at the only 2 exits that we have at our resort. We have securitu staff that have a sign on their chest informing every single person that is even walking to be careful or ask them to not walk on the surface. We are very proud of our staff member Samuel who immediatly went and assist this persons that have the incident. Still, it is very important to notice that the guest did not listen to our security, they were drunk, and the alcomhol comsumption was the one that they buy from the store. It is very frustrating when people just do not listen to our staff. We are here for you but we also ask the guest to follow the rules and directions that we give it to them. Please repect the signs and red flags. For your own safety. We thank you again for your recent stay and for being here with us enjoying lands end. Sincerely,
