Beautiful hotel on beach and short walk to marina

First time in Cabo and very happy with the Grand Solmar. Every room has a balcony with ocean views and rooms are quite large. Pools are warm and very friendly staff. We saw whales surfacing and jumping out of the water while relaxing in the Infinity pool. Food and drinks are less expensive if you walk 10 minutes down the hill to the marina. Had great food both in town and at Resort. Hope to visit again!

Pros: The fact that its deli store had all the staples one needs to cook in the very full kitchen in the suite. Murphy bed is a plus.
Cons: There was no maid service on the final day and we needed to have towels exchanged and trash removed by calling the concierge.
Location: The marina nearby with restaurants and vendors of different things was a plus. We had breakfast on the marina overlooking the yacht harbor.
The proximity of the hotel to downtown and the marina is a benefit. The hotel also being on the water's edge is also very convenient for whale watching which was the primary reason we came this time of year.

Wonderful time

We stayed away from timeshare presentation as recommended by many other reviews and had a wonderful time!

Not much to complain about.

Everything seemed very new. The staff was friendly. The food was great. The location and climate were great. It wasn't too crowded. We didn't cook in so we would have preferred chairs to the table. The exercise facility was great We plan to return if the opportunity arises.

Excellent Resort

Everything about this place was meticulous. Food was great, drinks were enjoyable and the pools were very relaxing. Soft music st all pools would be nice.

Newer resort with beautiful grounds. Only negative is that the beach is not swimmable

too much pressure to buy a time share

Pros: Not crowded. Pools warm.
Cons: Extra touches expected at a top hotel. No pressure to make a sale of a time share. So off putting ...
Hotel was fine and we enjoyed our week there, BUT the hotel really tries to sell you its time shares. And it is clear your treatment correlates to making such a purchase. Also, it tries to say it is a top hotel but does not have the special touches its competitors offer. We had a great week because of perfect weather and location, but next trip to Cabo will be at a different hotel.

Supberb restaurants. Less than optimum beach. Pools not suitable for lap swimming. Convenient location.
