Relaxing Location in San Jose

Pros: The workers take a lot of pride in their work and keeping the resort pristine. We even saw housekeeping scrubbing down vending machines.
Cons: We were only provided with one wash cloth. Most people do not share washcloths so room should have at least 2. We were given extra upon request.
Location: San Jose is about 30 mins outside of the hustle & bustle of Cabo San Lucas. There isn't a whole lot of nightlife in this area but it's close enough.
The resort isn't anything fancy but the views and surroundings make it beautiful. The hotel staff work night and day to keep the resort and beach area pristine. The food at the buffet was mediocre. We only ate there for breakfast. Most of our lunches and dinners we ate at the outside restaurant which was really good. The fish tacos were outstanding. Service at the outside restaurant is stellar. We spent most of our time at the adult pool where Alma served the best drinks at the resort. It's a little too quiet over there at times and would be nice to have some music playing. The main pool always had fun activities going on and would be great for families. It was busy though. There's not much to do at the resort at night time. They did have a show each night that started around 8 and lasted about an hour. After that things died down. They have a Cantina that has a lady singing and karaoke but it never got very lively. The singer is very good though! The rooms were outdated but clean. Beds were comfortable and I recommend upgrading to the lanai room with a hammock outside. The blow dryer in our room did not work but they provided me with one that did upon request. The lighting in the bathroom is horrible so bring a mirror if you want to have good light to put on makeup. There's also no tub, only a shower which could be a problem if you have small kids. Housekeeping also made us cute little towel animals on our bed with rose petals which was a cute surprise.

Wonderful service. beautifull property.

We loved our time at this resort. Great value. Beautiful ocean front hotel. It only needs a specialty restaurant. Not a lot of choices to eat. But very close to outside restaurants and stores.

Great Vacation

Pros: Friendly staff and very clean grounds
Cons: None noted
Location: The strip center about a block away offers a great coffee shop and eateries. We love going to the Jazz Tapas Bar in the evenings for drinks.
This is our 3rd year in a row to visit Cabo and our second year at the Holiday Inn. The grounds are beautiful and are kept in great shape. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for the price. The food is better than a lot of the resorts and rooms are very comfortable. On our second day, a fire broke out next to our hotel at the bird sanctuary and burned for many hours. As it got closer to our hotel, they made the decision to evacuate us to other hotels for the night. I commend the staff for how they handled the situation and within 2.5 hours, we were all placed in equal accommodations and all expenses were covered by the hotel. We were allowed back to our hotel the following morning once the fire was put out and when we returned, the whole resort had been cleaned. There was a large amount of ash in most of the area around the hotel but was not noticeable at the resort. They did a great job and can't wait to return next year.

Our 5th straight year back!

Pros: Staff, location
Location: 20 mins. from the airport, walking distance to shops, right on the beach.
We go down every April. Have seen several changes during that time (all good). Had some of our adult kids & grand daughter with us this year. Number one - the staff are TERRFIC!! They treat you like family & remember you year to year. The food is above average for Mexico - not gourmet, but certainly enjoyable. We had to be evacuated for 1 night as there was a fire near by - handled excellently by the staff - no damage to Holiday. We were put in another hotel close by newer, but everyone couldn't wait to go back to the Holiday!! All inclusive - plenty of pools - great family place, but adults will enjoy also!

Nice hotel...close to town.

Pros: Near town and within walking distance or short cab ride. Felt very safe.
Cons: The lighting in the bathrooms needs work and reading lamps on each side of the bed would be very nice. Need bathroom at the Quiet pool.
Location: We love Cuervos House for a great meal and the Baja Brewery for a nice craft beer!!
We like the Holiday Inn. The adult quiet pool and Bar attended by Alma is our favorite.

Family fun in the sun

Everything was great. Our room wasn't ready upon arrival but we just went and ate. All staff were really polite. Loved the children's area. Will definitely visit again. Beach side restaurant was the best. Buffet less than excellent but they provide you with other options. Try room service at least once. You'll enjoy it! Over all, really excellent deal. Thanks!

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint that I have is about the other guest. They would claim chairs by the pool at 7 am and would not come to the pool for hours. They would put the hotel towels on the chairs. We moved them and sat there anyway.

Nice hotel loaded with mosquitos

The beach is so far away you could only hear it. Red flags always up. Mosquitos are hungry. Hotel staff don't much care about you. The food and drink are awesome. Lots of pushy people who think they own the place. If you want anything you have to go get it yourself. For an all inclusive resort, they have a lot to be desired. I won't recommend it to anyone and I will never be back. Were suffering from the mosquitos bites and that killed the whole vacation. Such a shame. I could add some pictures but the place is depressing and we didn't take a single pictures.
