Mexican Vacation

Posted Jul 23, 2016
My Mexican Vacation was amazing it was one of our best trips. The Holiday Inn Resort was beautiful nice and clean it was a great location 20 mins from Cabo San Lucas and 7-10 mins from Los Cabos village. The staff was very friendly especially Enrique he was always smiling and friendly and very helpful. The hotel had enough food stations and variety of foods with a great taste. I also enjoyed the night life and the fire show and the pool games. It was also great to have the opportunity of seeing the horses and riding the horses along the beach. The resort is a good choice you get the best of both worlds and another factor around the Holiday Inn they're are several food places and bars in walking distance. My only complaint is the lighting in the bathroom it needs to be brighter.

Very Nice Accommodations

Posted Jul 17, 2016
Pros: Aesthetically pleasing
Cons: The Patio bar could be better used. Not all guests are there with children. The after hours festivities need improving.
Location: San Jose is just a short walk and there are shops and excellent eateries.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. It was nice and relaxing

Exceeded Expectations

Posted Jul 14, 2016
Based on stars and some reviews, I was not expecting to love our stay but WE BOTH DID!! Super friendly helpful staff, gorgeous beach, clean rooms, excursion desk, and a small store. The hotel is set up so almost every room faces the main pool and/or ocean. So everything is a short walk from almost every room. The bottom floor rooms even have hammocks. We did not care for the buffet food for lunch or dinner but breakfast was great. The beachfront restaurant was awesome food every time we ate there. Drinks flowed nonstop at the MANY bars. There are 4 pools, 2 with swim up bars, one an adults only. Daily free activities included nightly shows, bike tours, water aerobics, bingo, and more. You cannot swim on this beach so the beach is basically empty-so you can find a lounger and umbrella any time of day or night. Gorgeous views and a great beach walk. Great location close to town if you want to walk or taxi over. Close to airport. Would def recommend

Good value hotel for the price

Posted Jul 5, 2016
Pros: The fact that it is an all inclusive makes it really easy for families as the budget is taken care of prior to arriving.
Cons: Food availability was not constant and room service was extra. No booze before 10am was a bummer and the pool bars close at 6pm
Location: The location is a bit removed. There is a small town within walking distance, but Cabo is about a 30 min cab ride.
This was our first trip with our 3 year old daughter and it was a lot of fun. All together there was 19 people in our group that traveled together. We were always able to get seated together, the pools were fun and travel into Cabo San Lucas was not difficult. The hotel in in San Jose which is about a 30 min cab ride from the main harbor. The food was good, the beach was a lot of fun and the surf was huge! Unfortunately this is on a stretch of beach that is not safe for swimming due to rip tides. The beds are a bit to be desired, but we may be spoiled due to sleeping on a memory foam bed at home...All in all, this was a good hotel.

Great Value!!

Posted Jun 26, 2016
Pros: The staff are the reason we keep returning to this hotel.
Cons: More restrooms near the pool areas.
Pros: Food: Excellent - buffet and ala carte locations - also an extensive room service menu for a total cost of $5.00, no matter what you order Staff: Excellent, most are attentive, caring, and personable Location: Expansive property with a beautiful estuary and a beautiful view of sunrises on the east side - Walkable to San Jose, a quaint town with an Art Walk on Thursday evenings Pools: 1 very large family pool with a swim up bar, 1 activity pool with a swim up bar, 1 adult pool with a walk up bar (Alma is the best bartender ever!!), and a kiddie pool. Rooms: Comfortable, clean, new mattresses, and refrigerators. Lanai rooms have a patio, table/chairs, and a hammock Cons: Location: an expensive taxi ride to Cabo San Lucas

Main Feature Pool Area

Posted Jun 24, 2016
Pros: The Azul restaurant, the pool selections, the friendly staff. Fresh food always replenished at the buffet.
Cons: Room amenities were lacking. Cleanliness was o.k. Buffet service needs training. Glass vs. plastic cups are preferable in the dining areas.
Location: We enjoyed the bird sanctuary on the north end of the resort. It is less than a mile to walk to town. Horseback rides on the beach were popular.
The view of the beach from our veranda room was incredible. I loved to hear the waves crashing. It is typically a red flag beach, so the pools are the primary attraction. They have 3 pools for different levels of noise and activity. All 3 have nearby bars. The meals were o.k.: there is only one primary option for breakfast, and one night only the Mexican buffet was available for dinner. We didn't find out until our last evening that they do have food service in the cantina bar near the hotel lobby. The rooms were minimal; with plastic cups for the bathroom, and Styrofoam cups for the coffee maker. One sink in the bathroom with a small counter was crowded. Bottles of water are available for purchase. The hammock on the veranda was a nice tough; we used it daily. The room cleaning was typically very late in the day, sometimes while we were away for dinner. The check in service was acceptable, and we never saw the concierge. We used the Expedia staff person instead, and he was very courteous and knowledgeable. The buffet dining staff was inconsistent. Some buffet guests got beverages and utensils right away, while most of the time we had to take care of ourselves. I don't know if some tipped upon entry, or the servers selected their favorites to help. We always had to get our own flatware; and most of the time our drinks. The seaside Azul restaurant have very attentive servers, and the food was incredible, though the menu was limited.

Great family hotel on the beach

Posted Jun 24, 2016
My kids ages 9 10 and 11 had a great relaxing vacation. After reading all the reviews, which a lot was negative, I decided to book this resort and it was a great bang for the bucks! My kids just wanted to relax, swim and drink Pinas. And they did exactly that. Overall very nice and friendly resort. The staff went out of their way to make us happ . As long as you remember this is a 3+ star resort, you will definitely enjoy your stay.
