Overall nice but didn't satisfy expectations

We were at ME Cabo over spring break with 10 of my friends. I was responsible of arranging our stays. I was in contact with Leticia to make reservations for 3 rooms. After making at least 5 calls to Mexico and trying to arrange the payments, I realized that it was not going to work this way because the hotel was constantly postponing our payments... So I went ahead and booked with Expedia at the end which eventually turned out to be a better deal.
Over Expedia I specified expecially, and called the hotel to confirm, that we needed two queen beds in every room and they approved our request. However, when we went to the hotel they still gave us rooms with one King beds even though we were paying extras for the third and fourth persons. Thankfully, they were able to manage relocating us to rooms that we had requested initially.
The hotels pool and beach serivce was really good. The Blue Marlin Ibiza looked really promising, but because the hotel was relatively empty, there wasn't anyone partying or drinking except for my group.
Overall, we had fun because we were a big group but at the end of the day it didn't really satisfied my expectations as a "happening" hotel.
