Beautiful views!

Posted May 3, 2017
Pros: The privacy of each villa, the views and the service.
Cons: The only thing we noticed was very minor; a couple of loose/broken tiles on the balcony. Nothing we couldn't deal with!
Location: The location is on the pacific side so it is away from the bustle of downtown Cabo and the marina. Great spot for relaxation or romantic getaway!
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was his first time in Cabo, my third time (although my other two times were cruise ship stops). The views from the Montecristo villas were absolutely breathtaking, every villa has a view of the ocean, and lets not forget the private pool and hot tub! The service was excellent, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the all inclusive package, so we hardly left the room all week, so we cannot rate the restaurants, but room service was satisfying (although be prepared for smaller portions, unusual for us Americans, but we thought it was a good thing!). The sister property next door, Sunset Beach, had restaurant and a small market that we went to for a few items for the villa and you can access the beach through that property as well. It is a bit of a walk to get there, but worth it, although you can't get into the water on this side of the peninsula because it is very rough and unsafe, so we just enjoyed the walk in the sand. You also get a personal concierge when you check in, although we did not take advantage of ours during our stay since we did not do any excursions, spa treatments, etc., but she was always checking with us to make sure we had what we needed. Each villa has enough space to sleep at least 6 people, without stepping all over each other (2800 SF, three bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and two half baths) so we can't wait to go back to the Montecristo and bring family and friends next time.

Pleasing from Photos

Posted May 2, 2017
Pros: Privacy
Cons: Update the finishing inside the villa and hire people that can actually speak english and not just understand the words "Montecristo or Sunset"
Location: Beach ain't going to happen unless you take a shuttle to Rose.
I'm estimating that 2 out of every 10 people that worked at this resort could actually speak English. Yes I know it is Mexico but most tourists are American or Canadian and speak English; this resort heavily relies on shuttle service to get from one place to the other because of the sheer size of it. ex. If you would like to leave your villa and go to the closest restaurant, you will either wait a minimum of 15 mins for a shuttle to pick you up or it will take 45 mins to an hour to walk there. We found that the all inclusive was not completely all inclusive.. If you want to eat at La Frida for example, you will pay an extra fee.. and trust me it is NOT worth it. You will receive better service and a better meal at Cibola that is included in your all inclusive package. Cibola was by far the best place to eat Breakfast and Dinner. Staying in a villa is quite a secluded and quiet experience. The Villa looks amazing in pictures but they desperately need to renovate. Our bathtub stoppers did not work and needed to be replaced, we had bugs all over the kitchen and there were a lot of burnt out lights. After complaining 2 times to the front desk and nothing getting fixed our concierge was able to have the lights and stoppers fixed; however that was day 4 of our 6 day stay; the bugs were still there when we left. She did however hook us up with a complimentary couples massage which was very much appreciated.

The best villa with amazing views

Posted Apr 22, 2017
I am coming back here next time we visit. The villa was incredible with amazing views and privacy. We stayed in 76 by the club house for access to service and amenities. Staff are professional and friendly! Infinity pool was just amazing to have! We will be back

Best vacation spot EVER! Barely left the property.

Cons: Offering of premium liquor.
The villas are amazing. From the view to the staff, there was nothing left to be desired. I can't even describe what Cabos was like because we barely left the property. This was an annual girlfriends trip, and now all of us are excited to take our families. Can't wait to get back.

Amazing overall, with some possible improvements

Posted Feb 26, 2017
The Pros: Excellent food for an all inclusive. The choice of many restaurants in the resort was astounding. Good quality food, and great atmospheres. Staff were friendly, corteous, and truly cared about the guests. They wanted to make sure we had the best time! The location was amazing. The view was second-to-none, with easy beach access. Whales were literally jumping out of the water right in front of our resort! Lots of pools to choose from, with different settings/moods. Lastly the shuttle service was great! You can call anytime for a free shuttle throughout all properties on the resort :) awesome feature! The con: Organization between staff, departments and guests is seriously lacking. The day-to-day operation of the resort needs improvement, as several occasions we were misbooked for reservations, or forgotten at shuttle locations.

Lovely Villa in a Huge Hotel

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Our villa at the Montecristo was perfect, very spacious, modern and well laid out. Having a private pool is fantastic and the view was stunning. Our concierge Jose was very helpful and responsive and our housekeep Yazmine was wonderful and thorough, she even decorated our room with birthday decorations for my husband's birthday. The larger Pueblo Bonito resort is huge and crowded but the staff is helpful and it was nice to have access to the resort that is right at the beach.

A little bit of heaven

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Pros: Great ambience, low keyed but I'm sure you could make it whatever you wanted.
Cons: Food .
Location: Didn't participate
We returned to Montecristo Villas because we enjoyed it so much last year. Weather perfect, villa amazing. The only complaint would be the food. If you are looking for a trip to gain weight on, don't go to this property.

Beautiful resort.

We loved our stay. The resort was beautiful and staff was very friendly. We went with two other couples and stayed in the 3 bedroom villas, plenty of room for everyone. The restaurant were amazing. Took the stuttle to the beach and walked around downtown. Great time and will definitely go back.

Private villa overlooking the ocean with it's own pool and more square footage than my house. Yeah, felt like king of the world. Great experience.

Great views and villas are amazing. Room service was a bit inconsistent but it's a big resort so they actually have to drive it out with a van. Most of the staff was very friendly.
