We have stayed in the exact villa 2 times in the past 3 months. The pullout is broken, dresser drawers need fixing, and the dryer vent needs to be connected. We requested this stuff a few months ago and it was still the same.

The rooms were clean . We loved having our own pool and spa. The views from the back deck are fabulous. The distance to the restaurants is a bit daunting. The room service worked ok but you have to work ahead since it took 35-40 minutes. The internet never worked while we were there.

We ABSOLUTELY enjoyed our stay at the Montecristo Luxury Villas. The Villas are well maintained, comfortable beds and we had our own private, beautiful 2 story home with our own pool and 2 balconies. The views are amazing. We rented a car and were able to come and go at our convenience. I'm SO thankful we did not have to shuttle around everywhere. It's not hard to drive in this area once you get the hang of the speed bump / yield system. We went to the grocery store and bought our own food and drinks, and went out to eat whenever we wanted. We did try the Pueblo Bonita resort food, but did not purchase all inclusive. We wanted the freedom to eat wherever. If I had my children with me, I would opt for the all inclusive.... I highly recommend! We would love to come again. :)

Supplies like toilet paper were scarce, kitchen utensils were few and in very bad shape. We were told a person would come in the middle of our stay to do some cleaning, but nobody came to help with the cleaning. In general, whenever we asked anything about the property to the main office, they said that because this was a rental, they could do nothing. It was not clean in Expedia when we booked the property that this was a rental property. The lack of communication from the rental company make things more difficult than necessary, this was a disappointing experience given the price we paid for the property.

The property appeared to have staff shortages and the pool amenities were more than max capacity accross all of the Pueblo Bonito properties we visited. The Sunset Property closed pools for weddings and special events on the weekend we stayed. Be prepared to be inconvenienced by having to ride on a golf cart or in a van to get anywhere on the property(s). It is on a side of a mountain literally. Overall staff is very friendly and helpful...but frenzied due to the shear volumes of people they were caring for. Our 3 bd villa was cleaned 2 of the seven days we stayed and when we notified the front desk we were told by the front desk mgr, cleaning was not included it the expedia package only for the timeshare owners. Crazy comment...how were we suppose the get towels? Our package was over $5,000. If your looking for a "resort" experience this is not the property for you.

The villas we manage are not owned by the Resort and that's why they only include essential amenities. However, when you book with us, you have access to the Resort facilities and also have the option to purchase additional services from the Resort for an additional fee (cleaning service, concierge, catering services, transportation, spa, golf, meal plan, etc.). Please also know that, even though cleaning service is not included, you can dial 7000 from your villa's phone at anytime to request clean towels. All of this information is in our listing and in the messages we send to our guests at the time of booking. If you are looking for the full resort experience, we recommend you to book a Villa directly from Pueblo Bonito Resorts or using the Expedia listing: Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Luxury Villas - All Inclusive instead.Regards,

We have stayed 2 times this year (2023), January and June. Area - The MC area of the community is nice. It is Not Walkable. There are 2 phases to the villa , 1 is the original phase (older) units and phase 2 - newer. If you are wanting a golf cart to move around in - these are only allowed on the lower sections of either phases. Without a golf cart, you will need to wait for the transportation shuttle vans to move you around. These are not always the quickest. Alway verify and check in to make sure you have a ride back from where ever you go. Shuttles go to specific spots and do not automatically come back to your drop off unless you tell them. Villas - the newer villas are situated in a quieter location. Phase 1 on the lower area has the continuous noise of vans and truck struggling to make it up the hills. AC - the bedroom AC seem to not get as cool as the AC in the main living area. (Happened in both villas). Pool is warmed year round…this is great in the winter and fall but in June it is like a hot tub. Staff - once at the community the staff is great, attentive and pleasing. Trying to communicate via Expedia or directly via concierge email is a bit harder. Sales Staff - Sales group is at check in and will hound you to take the sales tour but are not overly pushy. Market - Great concept and food is good. Wish they would have a small sundry shop in the market. There is a small deli / shop in the Sunset beach resort for smaller items

I stayed in Monte Christo twice during my stay. The first one was great. The second one we had baby roaches in the house. The air conditioning in the main bedroom was broken. We called in twice, and they never came to fix it. This was a horrible experience that we paid a lot of money for and they did nothing about it.

The villa was amazing and very spacious. There’s a shuttle to take you down to the main lobby when staying at the top of the mountain . The shuttle service can take you many places for free . There’s golf cart services as well that will take you around the resort.

Montecristo was a beautiful property! The room was not exactly what was described or shown in the photos but it served as well. Beautiful location and excellent customer service. All of the restaurants were excellent. The resort is very large and there is an enormous amount of walking, which we were great with, but could be a concern for others. The resort is mountain side so there is a lot of walking up and down large hills. The only downside is the wait time on transportation. Anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes each time you get a shuttle. Overall great place and we will be back!

The pool heater was out. No lights in the pool. Cold shower in master bedroom. Clogged tub in downstairs bathroom with the king size bed. Fountain in foyer wasn’t working. No washing machine. Little crawling bugs in the kitchen.

I stayed in a 3 bedroom with a pool and I was completely blown away with it! The restaurants have valet, great food too. The main pools and bars are super clean, service is great I was very impressed and I dont say that too often haha

We really enjoyed staying in the villas and eating at the market where they have really good food of different varieties….you can even have it for room service. We rented golf carts during our stay to get around the property which is totally the way to go. You can take the golf cart to the golf resort beach to chill and take amazing pictures or you can ride the manned cart to get to the sunset beach. One big negative is that you can’t get in the water! You have to ride a bus through downtown to get to Rose beach which is crowded and have a lot of aggressive vendors which we hated. If you are okay to not to get in the water and really enjoy a relaxing vacation….villas are the way to go and go all inclusive to enjoy the great food! They let you take beverages back ti your villa and you can order room service at your villa if you don’t want to get out. We had breakfast ordered the night before and delivered at a certain time which we all loved! The French Toast is amazing! The views are breathtaking from our Villa. The big negative is that the beds are so uncomfortable.

Beautiful views. Our conceirge was on point with getting us what we needed. Did have an issue in the Market where we were initially denied taking food out (actually chased to the door) even though some other patrons were allowed to. Eventually it was resolved.

Would request different villa next time
The Villa was cracking & had paint falling and pool tiles falling off. The downstairs ceiling had a toilet leak from above and mold growing on it. The sales staff gave us a run around about seeing ownership properties and just hounded us about time-shares. Otherwise the food and rest of the grounds staff were awesome!

No help on our honeymoon
The market was amazing. The vila was beautiful, the issue was a couple of things. 1. We had no hot water in the master bathroom, and couldnt even use the Jacuzzi. 2. Our pool had a giant bees nest on it, and I am allergic to bees. 3. We had no WIFI to call our kids. When we complained about these issues, we were told this was not a property that they own, it was a private owner, and no one would fix any of the issues. We paid $3,200 for 5 days, and found out we could have booked 7 days for the same with all inclusive. We are very upset with the management for not trying to make anything better for us on our honeymoon.

We love the villas but the service not great
What could be better than a three better villa with amazing views and a private pool? It would be so much more pleasant if the service and check-in were not so disorganized. It takes about 20 mins per family to check-in due to the all-inclusive nature of many reservations. I suggest a separate line for those that don't need to wrangle every family member to put the bracelets on. Also, the bookings for golf are ridiculous. You can only book after you have checked-in? We extended a vacation for three nights at these villas ($$$$) and changed flights just to play golf not expecting this policy. By the time we checked-in there were not tee times and we never played. The people handling it were curt and not flexible and we got different information every single time we called. Not good.

Wonderful home, but poorly kept up. Paint splatters all over, smelly leaking plumbing, broken lamp shade, stained upholstery, etc. Unaccommodating check in when we had food to unload. Would not recommend for the money.
