The hotel is nice but there were some issues. There are a lot of birds on the property and it is a bit annoying to fight birds while you’re eating your meal throughout the day. The food was it anything amazing for the price that you’re paying it was really expensive. I don’t know for the class, but in a room we kept hearing noises late at night, which woke us up around from 11 to 2 AM so if you are a light sleeper this will prevent you from getting a good nights rest.

The dining and bar were just ok but the property was beautiful. I had a fantastic view from my room and would recommend it to anyone. Check in was easy and so was parking.

I was “upgraded” in a tower that took 10 extra minutes to get to. With a toddler this was inconvenient when the pools were on the other side of the property. It was noisy and not explained at check in. When discussing later they stated the rooms were “basically” the same and moved us the next day. It was completely different view and quieter, more convenient. Most staff were unhelpful. Area around property was out of the way but hard to get around without a car. Activities were fun but hard to know what was happening as no one shared or communicated. I will not stay here again.

The check-in process was a setup for the concierge. They told us that our room would not be ready for about 45 minutes. We stepped aside to discuss what to do when the concierge approached us and asked if we would like to discuss activities. The discussion included a timeshare tour. When I asked if it was a timeshare tour, he said “no”. Long story short is that it was. We were at the door of our room a few minutes before it was supposed to be “ready”. The key card did not initially work. Then right at the designated time, we heard the door lock click. The key card then worked. In short, the room was ready when we checked in. They delayed us from going to the room to give the concierge time to get us into their timeshare tour.

We booked the property last minute after other accommodations fell through. They were very helpful and accomodated an early check-in which allowed us to spend the day using the facilities. The resort had a good family vibe which was great for us. Food on the resort was pricy for quality. Next time we would bring more food to help cut costs. (A grocery store is very close by). We were happy with the location and quick walk to the marina area and the chaos.

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it. Not a lot of food options and food was always cold. The resort was clean but a little older. The manager that ran the excursions was very pushy and didn’t listen to us not wanting to do a 60 minute presentation to get a better deal on the things we were looking to do. If you are looking to do the all inclusive, don’t. There were so many great places to eat on the marina and also in town.

Playa Granda is an Excellent resort to enjoy your stay in Cabo! Very nice & friendly staff, prompt, and assertive. PG definitely caters to the Americans. Your in Mexico but all the music they play is English which I find a little odd, its All about cultural. Great food changes throughout week & plenty of options in buffet. Great relaxing environment! It was our first time anywhere out of Canada or the US the environment staff culture and overall experience was amazing. The resort itself was absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to return

Two things i didnt like. 1. Coffee was not complimentary and hotel tried to charge me twice for it. I complained about it and the charges were removed. 2. The "service fee" added to every meal. Ridiculous!

This is our second time staying here and we also have stayed at the original Solmar down the beach. This property is very large and you have to do a lot of walking but the views are outstanding and the private beach is phenomenal. You cannot swim at this beach but it is so peaceful. One thing to note is they act as though they're giving you a room upgrade but make you move in the middle of your stay. We requested to not have to move rooms and were content where we were and they finally admitted owners come to the hotel short notice and they must make rooms available for them. It was a major inconvenience but they said they do it all the time so keep in mind if you have a long stay, ours was 8 days, you may have to move rooms. After complaining several times they finally agreed to give us a small food credit which barely covered two breakfast buffets, it's about $40 a person to eat breakfast!! They also add tip automatically on to all the bills so keep that in mind. The employees didn't seem nearly as happy this time around which seemed unfortunate. I didn't see any of them smiling or interacting with one another. The location can't be beat and watching whales from your deck is amazing. It's a short but hilly walk to town and the marina and we did it every day. You can easily take a cab for $15 anywhere around town that you need to go.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Playa Grande! We were 10 minutes from the marina. The staff activities food were all wonderful! Our room was lovely and we had a spectacular view of the ocean!

Cockroaches everywhere in the kitchen, the fridge went out for 1-1/2 days, food went bad. We let the front desk know each day, check out came and they told us to record of it! We let the desk SUP (Edgar) know each day of what was going on.

Beautiful property, the best location possible. So close to everything in Cabo. 5 minutes to the marina. All the pools and patios are very nice. Staff is nice and professional. Only issue we had with the room is that we had water leaking from the ceiling for a good portion of the night one evening. That was remedied the next morning. We were not super impressed with the food on site. It is fine but you have great options just a short walk away. Overall, this place is great.
