Pools are nicePosted Aug 31, 2015
Hotel was alright is you just want to lay by the pool. Food was not great, hard to get reservations at the a la carte restaurants and impossible to get into the " best one ". The Garden View rooms were not garden view , faced the Santa Fe Hotel and their guests can see into your room. Room was alright , paint coming off in bathtub, few dead bugs, our beds were two twin beds. Definitely not worth what we paid and definitely not a 4.3 star hotel by any means.

Nice spot, unfortunately Management staff ruineditPosted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: Very hard working wait staff.
Cons: New management. Not helpful, not concerning, and only worried about the numbers of the hotel. No customer service.
Unfortunately our trip was ruined from the moment we booked the trip to the point we stepped foot on the location. After calling multiple times to confirm our reservation prior to our actual trip date, when we arrived at the hotel we learned something completely different. I only needed 1 flight through expedia because my wife already had her flight paid for so I called the RIU and they said the room rates are based on double occupancy so it doesnt matter if we book a room for 1 or 2 and so I proceeded with my booking online. My wife was skeptical of this so after we booked, she called again with our reservation in hand and they said the same thing. We even tried to pay any extra over the phone to make sure our reservation was completed. Again they assured us we had nothing to worry about and would not allow us to "pay" to add or make sure my wife was on the reservation. When we arrive, they tell us in order to add my wife would cost an additional $140 per night. That is more than I would have had to pay if I booked 2 flights and 2 rooms and just Eaten the cost of the flight! I asked to speak to a manager and Crystalina I believe was her name. After I explain my story, she says that is impossible and I am lying. We then are told to step aside and another manager would come talk to us. Jorge comes over and tells us the same BS. No help. We are 3 hours into our trip and sweating our behinds off before we end up eating the cost to avoid ruining any more of our trip. UGh!

Nice hotel clean nice view Weird Resturant rules.Posted Aug 31, 2015
Nice restaurants very different rules. You must make reservation to go to the restaurants. One of the Resturant you must wake up early about 6:30 AM to stand in line till 7AM they start accepting reservation!!! Wake up early on your vacation!!! You can NOT go to the same Resturant more than once and you can not order more than one dish. This is rediclouse.

LOVE Riu Palace Cabo San LucasPosted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Loved everything!!!!!!! Staff was great and could not do enough for you
Cons: Wish beer in the mini bar in the room was in bottles not cans. Wish the local vendors would come in at night like they used to.
Location: Medano Beach is beautiful though too rough to swim in. Riu pool is the most beautiful I've ever seen!!!!!!! Many water sports are near by
This was our third trip to Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas. Beautiful hotel. Grounds are immaculate. Staff was wonderful. Food was great.

All Inclusive Birthday CelebrationPosted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: The palace was cleaned daily. The Palace is designed with two identical pools, one side has all of the activities on it, the other side is more quiet.
Cons: The rooms are big enough but, I did not like the tub if was too narrow.
Location: At night the young kids love to go into town for the bars and clubs.
We came to Cabo to celebrate my 50th birthday and my youngest son 21st birthday.First off, the staff was incredible specially the servers that were running around the pool getting our drinks, those guys worked really hard. The entertainment staff were very nice as were the attendants in the main dinning hall. My children took advantage of the room service each night they came back from the club and ordered sandwiches and salads. On our birthdays we each received a cake and a bottle of wine, nice touch.

Great views & terrific staffPosted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Grounds, views, staff, proximity to entertainment area
Cons: Room decor
Location: Very good - close to marina area (restaurants and bars), water sports nearby, great views of arch and Lovers' Beach
We enjoyed our stay at the Riu Palace. The staff are exceptional and all speak functional English, at a minimum. The food is pretty good at all of the restaurants, and very good at the specialty restaurant, Krystal. The views from the hotel grounds are exceptional, unimpeded views of Lovers' Beach and the Arch are incredible at sunset. You are also close enough to walk the beach to the marina, which has nice restaurants and night life. Our only criticism would be the rooms, which need an upgrade. The patters and furniture are dated and our air conditioning unit wasn't very effective.

No access to the beachPosted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: The hotel has an excellent service.
Cons: More food options for vegan people, and soft towels without smelling bleach. Access to the beach is not possible.
Location: Location was okay.
I was very disappointed about no having access to the beach which was the main purpose going to los Cabos. I was surprise that they do not offer more food options for vegans people. I got tired of eating only vegetables and fruits. I went out to look for veggie burgers. The towels had a strong bleach smelling and these towels were hard because they do not use softener washing them. I requested a transfer after five days staying there to another hotel with access to the beach but it was denied it. I made the mistake of booking for two weeks.
