Place to party. That's it.
We have been to Cabo a few times before, staying at some higher end all inclusive's and we've had such fantastic experiences until this trip. Riu Santa Fe was placed on this earth for one thing, party on a budget. First, the service staff is totally unprofessional. Two hours into our stay, we heard the service staff make fun of drunk patron who just fell down a few steps. "Someone had too much Tequila!" they said. When I brought this up to the front desk and described the member who said that and they were holding back a smile. No one working there takes pride in their work or cares about the quality of service provided to the hotel guests. Throughout the rest weekend, male employees were leering and hollaring at women walking by. The employee culture is clearly one that is unsupervised and without accountability for their work. There are five or so restaurants on the property, that all serve the same food. Most the food is reheated or coming from a commercial kitchen. Think slightly better college cafeteria quality. The only decent food you can eat would be at the made to order stations. As you will read elsewhere, the alcohol selection is not high end by any means. I'm talking lower shelf plastic bottles here. If visiting Cabo for the first time, I highly recommend not skimping out and staying at a budget all inclusive's like Riu Santa Fe. Spend the extra dollar and experience world class service like one would expect from an all inclusive resort!
