Bigger is not necessarily better.

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: location and cleanliness
Cons: Staff training
Location: Visit San Jose del Cabo.
Hotel has great location and facilities. The food and drinks were good. It was difficult to sometimes keep up with what restaurants were open on each day. Booking for the asian restaurant was a nuisance and needs to be changes. It is not open Wednesdays and you can only book the day of which means you have to call or visit at 7 am to make sure you get in. Portofino restaurant was the best with Ricardo, the maitra d', being very helpful and courteous. Staff need to be more pro-active and friendlier. With all Mexican hotels they still over officious and endless paper trails.

For dinner to have only two restaurants ?

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Not acceptable to have only two restaurants available for dinner that's ridiculous to go for dinner and have no options, on top of that to wait one hour in order to be able to get a table than wait for 10min because they run out of wine. It's that a service for five stars resort?

Excellent! Just Excellent!

Posted Jan 11, 2017
We have stayed at many Secrets Resorts. This is now our favorite. Beautiful grounds, rooms, restaurants, pools, staff, etc. When one says 5 stars, this is a 5 star resort. There is not one down fall. Everything is top class. The food is always a concern when going somewhere, the food here was excellent and fresh. We are planning to go back in April it was that great!

Great hotel!

Posted Jan 10, 2017
Great hotel with beautiful grounds and fantastic staff. This hotel is a great place for r and r. The beach was quiet and relaxing, great walks and viewing, and the pool was much fun with friendly staff and great service. The only negative was the food. Breakfest was good and the poolside food was excellent, but the dinners were subpar compared to other Secrets. Himitsu was great though!

The nicest all inclusive hotels in Los Cabos!

Posted Jan 6, 2017
Pros: Service, staff and food
Cons: I would recommend adding more shops .Since everyone pretty much stays at the resort, you can utilize the current spaces to showcase more local Art etc
Location: Highly recommend taking some tours to explore as there is nothing walking distance .Grayline provided some really nice tours. The city tour was great
From the moment you walk onto the property, you can immediately tell that SERVICE is priority at this resort. Every single person that we interacted with was consistently polite ,courteous and was willing to do all they can to make your stay comfortable - everyone seemed to have a positive attitude and always have a smile on their face. That tells me a lot about the working environment and the hotel management. My only regret is that there are not many swimmable beaches in Los Cabos but the pool was amazing . Thank you Secrets for such a wonderful week . We will definitely be back!

Dear Fabi-o, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us, we take very seriously all our guest comments because is our direct feedback. Exactly as you mentioned for us, the service is priority and the feeling you get from all our staff is our usual first class service that you will receive from everyone around, thank you for the recognition to our wonderful staff we are really proud of everyone that is member of this big family. In regards of your comment about adding more shops, I will take this directly to management because it is such a great idea, actually we have a pottery cart near the Barefoot Grill from 9am to 5pm, but I will also want to clarify that there are vendors that come to the resort twice a week so people that is not interested on going out have the same chances to buy different souvenirs from the locals. Hopefully you let us host you in your next visit to Cabo, it will be a pleasure for us to welcome you back. The New* Cabo 'Secrets'

Posted Dec 24, 2016
Quiet oceanside resort away from town. Isolated. 15 min drive from San Jose. All you can eat and/or drink. Food is excellent. Plenty of fun and entertainment with poolside parties during the day. Many dining experiences to chose from. A one week stay was just right! We broke away from the resort a number of days to check out San Lucas and a couple neighbouring surf towns up the seaboard. We also travelled away from the resort to do some fishing. The resort experience was well worth the money.

Dear Goodtimes!, We feel really happy to read that you enjoyed your recent stay with us, thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is amazing that you had all the Cabo experience, not a lot of people choose to do it, but I am glad that you went to know new places and get all the Baja surfing vibes of the destination. We hope to welcome you again not in a very distant future. Best regards, Monica Moreno Social Media Coordinator Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort

Great place

Posted Dec 24, 2016
Great resort. Good food. We never ate outside the resort and my wife did get very sick with their paella (Montezuma's revenge). Beach has a lot of rocks so is not really a swimmable beach without the waves slamming rocks on your feet. Besides this small things, the resort rocks.

Dear Jet Li, Thank you very much for taking your time and share your experience with us. We really appreciate all the recognition to our resort, we can read that you had a good experience overall, however it is never pleasant to read a comment like yours, we deeply apologize for your wife, I want to clarify that all our ingredients and food is high quality, and sometimes we have find out that some guests are not used to some spices or preparations, so we hope this was not a huge inconvenient for you, we feel really sorry that she had that experience. On the other side I like to mention that most of the beaches in the destination are not swimmable, but luckily for us we are 10mins away from a place called “La Playita” an excellent place to swim, hopefully in your next visit you join our entertainment team in the daily beach walk and you take a swim in the beautiful Sea of Cortez. We hope that you give us another opportunity and let us be your host in this magnificent destination. Beautiful resort for adult getaway

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Pros: Very clean, quiet and more lively areas separated, good food variety. Nice view of the ocean and private. Staff are amazing and friendly.
Location: Far from Cabo San Lucas but there are many ways to get there. The golf course on site is gorgeous but pricey. The resort provides a local bike tour/
Resort was very clean and well kept up. Staff were always tidying up, offering to bring you towels, drinks, move lounge chairs and umbrellas. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the oval tub is luxurious. We have stayed at 3 other Secrets in Mexico and this is my favorite. Food is excellent. Always towels and floaties at the pool. Bar service excellent. The entertainment team is very upbeat and keeps you smiling; busy if you want or not. We never left the resort as it was so relaxing and peaceful. Local vendors set up three evenings in a week so you can purchase trinkets/art and there are three theme nights with dinner and entertainment in the main garden area. Great value for adults looking for anything and everything--you could go on many different tours we just chose not to. Pools are crystal clear, do not smell of chlorine and there are many places to sit on ledges or suntan near the perimeter. Hope to return sometime soon!

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your comments with us, we value every comment of our guests and we feel really sorry that we did not fulfilled your expectations. Please allow me to mention that 90% of the beaches in the destination are not recommended to swim and the beach in front our resort is not the exception, luckily for us we are located 10 min. away walking from “La Playita”, a safe place to swim and our entertainment team makes a daily beach walk at 10a.m. where they show you the perfect spot for a swim in the beautiful Sea of Cortez, we feel really sorry you missed that. Regretfully we read that our dress code was a major inconvenient to you, but please let me tell you that we do this because of the romantic and elegant essence Secrets brand carries, we never expect our guests do not find this something pleasant. Please also permit me to specify that our DJ plays the music in the pool during the activities and it is just for 2 hours, from 12p.m. to 2p.m., after that our pools are set with soothing background music, which help everyone relax. Also please let me remark that our pools are heated since last month that the winter started, if you felt that it did not make any difference I will immediately notify our correspondent manager about the situation. We feel really sorry that you did not find your experience with us memorable, hopefully you give us a second chance and come back to see all our improvements by yourself, we will be really happy to welcome you back. Sincerely, Monica Moreno Social Media Coordinator
