Safe and clean.
3 stars for our family as we found food choices and kids amenities limited, didn’t realize this was a non swimming beach and didn’t feel we could enjoy our vacation in peace. When I asked about dinner options in the sister hotels, you are given yet another sell to join in the time share breakfast.
4 if you paid for all inclusive meal and/or don’t mind going to time share pitch in return for various perks and being forced to eat buffets from time to time( no a la carte when they have buffet).
Right next to two sister hotels.
Next door about 20ft away is Grand Solmar which is where the time share pitch is held. Has overpriced restaurants charging $25 for a fettuccine Alfredo when their sister facility sells full dinner buffets for $37.
About 5min walk or w free shuttle is Playa Grande which has nicer pools which we used. Bathrooms don’t have changing areas or showers. Margaritas we got by the pool during happy hour were flavorless. Playa Grande front desk also does not have change so your forced to either pay $4 for a $3.5 laundry token or bring your passport so they can sell you the token in pesos.
There are no peso ATM on site.
I suspect the food prices are inflated so that they can tell those pay for the meal included plan they are getting a better deal.
The info we would get about dinner prices and availability at one hotel were incorrect half the time unless they called the other place.
