GreatHotel /Great Location!

Pros: The size,security & location of the property along with relaxing atmosphere of it.
Location: The property is about a 10minute walk to the Marina & downtown Cabo. Fishing, watersports, shopping and entertainment are all near by.
The property is well kept, service is very good and the food and drinks are excellent. The staff is very good especially Neffie, Tina & Daniel who work at the pool & restraunt area.

Not what it used to be

Pros: Location is what I like about this Hotel
Cons: Pay more attention to customers request before arrival. Guidance in the Restaurant. Check your pre orders
Location: Spent a lot of time in the Marina, shopping. Baha Cantina was awesome. Captain Tony's terrible service and rude,
We have been returning to this Hotel for several years now. Even checked in to this Hotel before being evacuated from Hurricane Odile. I sent the hotel concierge a few messages regarding the 3 buildings we would like to stay in because they were quite. When we checked in they said they had the perfect room for us. Well, it was the worst room in the entire complex. It was old, next to the walk way, right across from the Restaurant. We were told it was the only room available. First night we were their was Fiesta night right outside our room. After several attempts the next day we finally were able to talk to someone to move us. Also, had chocolate covered strawberries pre-ordered and they were a no show. The restaurant staff could use some guidance on when to bring your check. Not 30 min after your finished. Not, a good stay this time. We booked through Expedia with a FULL breakfast included. Verified through Expedia you can order off the menu. Not the case when we checked in. American breakfast only.

Our vacation at Solmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas -

Pros: Great staff, wonderful view of ocean,
Cons: Kitchenettes in the Studios, they need to updated and enlarged
Location: Location is 10 minute walk up an easy hill from Marina. - 20 minute walk into downtown area.
Very much enjoyed our vacation - Would stay here again - We would book through Expedia again - We would fly with WestJet again - The staff and management at Solmar Resort were absolutely terrific - The hotel is dated, and could use some updates, especially the kitchenette in the Studios. - The restaurants in Cabo San Lucas are top notch - never had a bad meal.

Very nice and affordable accomodations

Pros: Carmen at the front desk.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to the marina and Mt. Solmar.
Nothing but good things to say about the Solmar Resort. Carmen at the front desk did a wonderful job for us, so I definitely want to recognize her as an outstanding employee. The room was big, comfortable and clean. The resort was quiet, other than some time we spent at the main pool. Too many senior citizens showing off. So the next time we went to swim we went to the upper pool which was less crowded and way more quiet. Not sure if that's how it is all the time, but if it is and you want peace and quiet, go to the smaller, upper pool. The hotel is a convenient walk to town; about 15-20 minutes to the marina. There is an Oxxo store at the bottom of the hill to the resort for snacks, but there is also a mini-mart at the Grand Solmar that can be utilized. So all in all, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again. And Carmen needs a promotion, that's for sure!

Lovely visit to solmar

Pros: Everything! Food, room, service!
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: With walking distance of town and right on the beach.
Quiet lovely setting. The room was spacious, clean everything we could have wanted! Restaurant were fabulous. Close to town and right on the beach, what more could you want?

Everything you need for a getaway

This resort is perfect for escaping reality without spending unnecessary money. The staff is very friendly and attentive, so you always have everything you need. Direct sunlight at the pool or few steps walk down to the waves can keep you content all day. There's plenty of food options at the resort, or downtown is a brief walk for a different experience. The views are incredible! I can't say enough positive things about my experience!

Red neck hotel

Cons: Need new lounge chairs,new chefs, new ding chairs etc
Location: Great location if you like to walk up hills
Same old food for all inclusive. You pay for what you get!

We loved it here! The staff was amazing!! The grounds where always clean and the food was always perfect! We got the all inclusive, I highly recommend that.

BEAUTIFUL great place for a getaway

Pros: loved the food and the design of the building . The plants were beautiful. Felt very safe.
Cons: NOTHING
Location: I was able to walk to shops and take a glassbottom boat excursion
Wonderful atmosphere . Everyone very kind. I enjoyed whale watching. The sunrise and sunset was beautiful

Great all-inclusive stay

5 minute walk to swimmable beach. Always able to find lounge chairs at one of the pools. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Staff was amazing! Got to know us and our preferences quickly and we felt truly catered to. Food and drinks were better than expected. The pool bar made great guacamole and shrimp ceviche! We went because of the affordability, we'll go back because of the experience!
