Good hotel. Close to Beach and Downtown.

Pros: Room, bed, staff.
Cons: Food Service very slow.
Location: Close to both beach and town.
A good place to stay but difficult to get around in and noisy all night if you're on the town side.

The Ridge at Playa Grande

Overall we had an amazing time here!! You really don't even need to leave the resort... everything is there. Most of the staff is really friendly and great to deal with... had a couple wait staff members who weren't incredibly attentive or friendly, but that was the exception and not the rule. We will definitely go back here again!! Highly recommend.

Not close to the beach.

We felt the stay was excellent until checking out and discovered that a phone call to a 1-800# in the states cost $116.50! I asked to speak to the manager and he reduced it by 50%, but still felt taken advantage of since they only disclosed their rates after the fact. I recommend using a calling card. Regarding breakfast at the Ridge, it is a waste of time! Service and food are very disappointing! Go to Mama's for the Juevos Ranchero con Camarrrrrrrrrrones y Langosta! Add a mimosa and your morning is set! Rohn

Nice place in Cabo

My wife & I Had a great stay.loved the resort.. We however did occur an accident on the ground's. Coming back from the Marina late one night. We entered through the gate from the street, begin to walk through the dark, unlighted walk way, and she slipped and fell very hard.I managed to get her TO our room,beading from her head.call hotel emergency #.they showed up within 15 minutes. Thy arranged for a doctor to come to our room at 2:00 am to attend to her.she received 3 stitches on her eyebrow. Doctor was fantastic, wrote a prescription for antibiotics. Charged me $400.00 + $65.00 for the medicine. Not to bad compared to U.S.A. fee's

Hotel-Grounds Very Nice / Food Uninspired

Pros: Good location, grounds, rooms big and well appointed.
Cons: The food.
The hotel, lobby, pool area, beach and location were all very nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Our suite (living room, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and large balcony) was attractive. Large king bed was VERY comfortable with high quality bedding and sheets. No complaints. But the odd part of the hotel, and possibly true of time-share resorts, was the lack of quality food. The lobby restaurant/bar had a simple bar menu like a sporting event... No wine list, no wine choices either....cab, chardonnay.

A beautiful repeater!

Loved the Ridge, great view of the marina in room, then view of the pacific at the pool. The Sunday brunch and breakfast buffet was fab, a little expensive, but great variety and worth it. Had a full kitchen area in room, with price club and walmart in town. The pools were fabulous and the chairs comfortable. Attended the beach party on Wednesday night, we had a blast. Great entertainment. Awesome balcony. Great for the price we got at hotels.com. We will definitely return here. So far only second to the one and only. Could do with out the time share push, but she was not pushy. I think she could read me.
