Best time in Cabo!

The Ridge at Playa Grande was perfect!! The entire resort was spotless, the staff was so friendly (especially Yoni and Ernesto and Chuy) they treat you like family. Location was awesome if you want to explore the marina as it is just a couple minutes away. Lots of good eating and fun everywhere. Captain Tony's and Solomon's are excellent eating spots, go to Sanchos for drinks. Will be returning to this resort!!

Full American breakfast included. Lovely pools and spas with fabulous views. Exceptionally friendly staff. Nice happy hours around the pools. Can't wait to go back.

Look out for hidden fee on your bill at check out!

We usually love staying here, and usually have a good experience. This was our 4th trip to either Playa Grande or The Ridge, so we've been there plenty of times to know what we are getting ourselves into. We often stay at The Ridge because we like the pool, free breakfast & wifi, and location. However, we received a surprise at the end of this trip. When checking out, the associate quickly handed us our bill for incidentals, which included things such as drinks at the pool, restaurant, etc. It was broken out into several line items and we were in a bit of a hurry to catch our ride to the airport, so I looked at it and asked the associate "these are just charges from the pool & restaurant, right?" He said "yes, that's it!" So I signed it, asked him for a copy and we checked out and left. When getting home, I noticed they inserted (to where it blended in with the rest of the charges) a charge for "Solmar Foundation Optional Donation." The associate NEVER pointed this charge out to me and I was not aware that I agreed to it. I've contacted The Ridge about this, and they won't transfer me to the billing department. I sent an email over a week ago, and still no response. It's disappointing, because we've been staying here since 2011, and have never had an experience like this. Regardless of how big/small the fee, the fact that they snuck it on to the bill without telling me is just wrong (and could be considered theft). Please double-check your bill if you go!

Great, private hotel still close to all the action

Cabo weather is almost always great. If you stay at the Ridge and go to the Ridge pool bar, Raciel and Felipe are two of the best bartenders you'll find anywhere. Great drinks, creative suggestions and they remember your names when you come back. And the views from the Ridge pool are awesome! Definitely want to book a room that faces toward the ocean - the marina side is very noisy late into the night. The all-inclusive deal is great if you plan to stay on property more than not, but exploring downtown Cabo's restaurants and shops is a lot of fun.

fabulous family hotel

Loved this hotel , staff were excellent , so convienent to the marina . I'm glad I didn't do all inclusive , it have us the freedom to try other places . I would definately go back to this hotel . Pretty big hotel , but I love to walk , so this suited us.

Great location

Pros: The view was stunning
Cons: More choice for included breakfast
Location: Close to everything
Expedia forgot to mention about the time share presentation that is required at check-in,I found that disturbing and time consuming .
