Smelled horrible

Room smelled like mold badly. My son suffers from Asthma, mold caused him attack. Hotel would not help refund. We had to move hotels.

Awsome place & location but...

Awsome staff, excellent room, but only 1 elevator working whole time we were there.. no one working on it to fix it! Long wait for elevators. Rude waiter at taco bar only, the rest magnificant. Immediate solicitation of buying time share, right off the plain. Said NO right off the bat, left us alone, but it was contant watching them harass every guest as they arrive..sometimes a bit slow to get towels/maid service. Over all wonderful property. No aces to beach for 3 days after Hurricane .. understandable!

Nightmare

Cons: Communication with management
We checked in on a Wednesday which was not to bad, we had a fishing trip booked the next morning at 6:00 am so we were in our rooms early. We had three separate rooms on the same floor. I notice a faint smell of paint thinner or some. The next morning off to our fishing trip and one of our members became sick, ( not like him to get sick, seas were like glass) took them back to his room and gave him time to fill better. ( once you get back on land you normally snap back). For the next 30+ hours we did not see him, we did check on him but he could get up. all he wanted to do was sleep,not hungry.Around 4:00 PM on Friday we decided to get him up and moving around and to go to the pool to see if that would help. After an hour or so he felt a lot better. I asked him if he had smelt anything i his room as far as paint thinner/ect. He said no, but as he returned to his room he called me and asked me to come to his room were i found him standing in the hallway, he said walk into my room and see what I thought, I could stay in there the fumes were so bad. We went to the main office and asked for the manager, but he was too busy. They asked the problem and we explained. After 45 minutes we went back down to the office and asked again to speak to the manager and was told he was too busy again. I asked for someone to come look at the room and they did send a person up and they wouldn't even stay in the room to look around. They changed his room,never saw the manager.

The staff the hotel the experience the food was all amazing! I would never pick another Resort in Cabo. This is the one to go to. Villa Del Palmar. Shout out to Bernardo, Ephran, Luis and Ivan.

Lo único que no me gusto es que no tengan wifi gratis ya que hasta en los más baratos hoteles va incluido y con este Hotel de esta categoría no hay y si la quieres es muy caro

older resort hotel right on the beach great view

Pros: Location on the beach and the view. It was great hanging out in the evening looking over the ocean enjoying the view and warm evening.
Cons: Better access to the hotel; why they have not built a higher road to access the hotel makes no sense to me. Guests can get stranded during rainstorms.
Location: Good location with access to a lot of activities.
Really enjoyed the view we had from our room. Great access to the beach. The pools were okay. Family pool got a little crowded at times. Drinks are overpriced. We did not get the all inclusive package so we bought meals at different times and found the food overpriced. Location is great because it is on the beach. However, the location can be a problem if it rains because the only way to get to the hotel is by crossing a riverbed that gets overflowed when it rains. The day after we arrived we had to deal with a tropical thunderstorm (that fortunately did not reach hurricane proportions). We had to leave our rental car about a mile away from the hotel and walk to the hotel carrying the groceries we had just bought. I thought hotel was slow to address this issue and also not very responsive when we tried to figure out what was happening. Other thing to avoid is the time share presentation. They offer you a free breakfast, free activity, tell you that all you have to do is listen to a 90 minute presentation that turns into a two hour attempt to sell you a time share and they have a hard time accepting a rejection. Overall it was a good experience.

Close to beach.

Hotel was conveniently located. More restaurant options would have been nice. There's a taco/quesadilla restaurant at pool and a pizza place. There's a sports bar inside. The pools are smaller and get quite crowded. We would take the shuttle to the sister hotel Los Arcos and swim in their much bigger pools. I would stay there instead. It's a bit nicer. It is much closer to the beach activities as well.

Good location close to beach activities

Upgraded us to a two bedroom suite. The room was very spacious. Large kitchen and a jacuzzi on large wrap around balcony. Hotel is noisy, hard to sleep. Beds not comfortable and pillows hard. Needs more food variety. Small cramped pools. The sister hotels seem nicer. Los Arcos has more variety for food and large pools. I would stay there. Close to downtown and a swimmable beach made this property convenient. Good prices.
