Loved the wilderness aspect of this resort. Makes a person feel as though they are in the "Wild West." Hotel feels a bit like being at Knotts Berry farm with the style and decor. In like with this, it smelled musty in the hotel, which was strange because the hotel is only 10 years old. However, grounds were fabulous, food was good and staff was amazing! When in Texas go big and stay at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort.

Great but pricey!

The hotel offers great amenities like hiking, tennis courts, golfing, and more. The property is beautiful! My only reservation with staying here every time we visit Austin is the price per room.

Beautiful Texas country resort

This property is sited in a lovely rural natural setting with regional style Texas architecture, and its seclusion is evident while driving down a several-mile-long private drive off of the highway. The lobby areas are very nice as well. The maximum value for this property would be to go there to stay there and use the facilities and enjoy the site, it really is more resort than hotel, and to stay here just as a hotel is an expensive proposition. But... when when WHEN will the hotel industry get that everyone (and I mean everyone that has ever booked a hotel room) hates the 'resort fee' ? It is a fixed non-optional cost that should be part of the stated room price, period. It's like an exorbitant fee for having a tv in the room even if you don't want a tv. The rooms are nice and clean, in line with the Hyatt name and price point. Service in the bar was exceptionally good and food and beverage product was excellent.
