Pros: The beds were very comfortable!
Cons: The front desks need to remember that some persons have never stayed in a nice hotel before. They need to explain things better.
I purchased this stay for my parents. My parents Being very conservative they have never stayed in a courtyard or any other upper level hotel before.I wanted them to experience something different as a treat. I requested a top floor so they would not feel like they were trapped between people above below and on either side. I also hoped they may have a better view of their surroundings.I also requested that their room be away from the hwy so they may have a better night sleepI even called the day before to speak with the front desk about my parents and my reasons for choosing the hotel. The new experience ,shuttle service to the convention very near to them and my reqests above, The person I spoke with was very pleasant and The hotel honored my requests. Though the room was very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was major issues that could have been avoided in their check in.Upon check in they asked for their credit card in case they USED ANYTHING in the room./ hotel. Being persons who has never in their lives ever had to experience this did not understand nor was it explained properly to them.So as you can imagine. They were afraid to touch the phone, nor the TV and when they need more towels they never called housekeeping in the two nights they were there and did not use the free shuttle .All because they thought they would be CHARGED. Upon arriving home they noticed unexplained pre refundable charge of Twenty dollars. The joy was gone due to worrying.

Visiting the state fair

Location: Close to Kentucky State Fair Grounds
The reason I booked this room was for the 24 hour shuttle service the hotel promised. My husband and I were there for our anniversary and didn't want to have to worry about getting transportation to and from an event we were attending at the Kentucky State Fair. We were told after we checked in,the hotel only had shuttle service until 7pm that evening. The room was fine, the hotel was okay, but the only reason we picked that hotel was for the transportation. Also, the bar closed at 10p, and it was the weekend.

Unfortunately during the State Fair based on traffic conditions in the area it takes exceptionally longer to navigate to and from the Fair and therefore we limit our availability during peak traffic/concert times. Cons: Front Desk ladies need a lesson in customer service.
Location: Freedom Hall Kentucky Kingdom
Near airport and walking distance to attractions. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location and they know it. Every experience with Front Desk personnel was horrible. The ladies were just rude! Management should be embarrassed to carry the Marriott name. Pricey too. Did I mention how rude the Front Desk ladies were?

Perfect location, good hotel.

Hotel was in a perfect location for an event at the Expo Center. (Walking distance) Although it was a little pricey, hotel itself was what I expected clean, relatively modern & excellent breakfast. Cleaning staff seamed to be very miserable. Couldn't even get a good morning out of her. (Would barely look at you when talking to her) We didn't get our towels replaced one day and had to go out and ask for them.

Lots of perks that we were not expecting and some that we expected like walking to kuntucky kingdom and the expo Center for the car ahow Was amazing.

Not the best hotel

Staff was nice and efficient. Not enough towels for the 4 people. 2nd night; bed was missing a sheet. Room needs updating.

Lady ar front desk very rude. Had to get room key made twice a day sll 6 days i was there.

We flew into Louisville to visit my daughter. The flight came in at 1130 pm and I did as I was instructed and called the hotel after I got my baggage. They said someone would be there in five mins and they were. She was very nice and helped us with the bags. The hotel had a little mini snack area where you can buy things. We bought two mini frozen pizzas and some other snacks. It was nice to have at that hour.
