Not a nice place

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Location to the fairgrounds.
We stayed at this hotel from Thursday night until Sunday morning while attending the NSRA Nationals. We had to change rooms 3 times because the AC was not working – the couple that we were traveling with had to change rooms twice. On the first morning the couple that we were with were eating the continental breakfast when one of the workers was overheard saying “We need to throw this stuff away because it has bugs in it”. Thank goodness that she was talking about muffins because they were eating cereal! The next morning we were going to eat at the breakfast area when the lady at the front desk told us that there wasn’t any breakfast because they couldn’t find the key where the food was located – no continental breakfast and no coffee. We had to walk through a lot construction to get to our rooms. There was drywall dust, about 50 5 gallon cans of paint, rolled up carpet, scaffolding, etc. sitting around that we had to walk through before we could get to the elevator to get to the only rooms that they were renting out on the fourth floor. The pool had about a foot of water in it, the hot tub had no water in it and the area was taped off to prevent you from walking around. All of the restaurants were closed. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. You are better off sleeping in your car than staying at this place!

You get what you pay for.

Rooms were nice and clean. TV was crt with terrible reception. Outside lighting had 3 of probably 15 working. Parking lot was very dark. The grass(weeds) were about 2 feet tall. If your looking for a cheap room and nothing else its a good deal.

Poor security - people did not need a key card to enter building or access corridors, only one parking lot light working. Poorly maintained - running toilet, 1 icemaker out of 4 was working, dirty filters in a/c unit, central exhaust fan system did not work. Non-smoking room recently converted from smoking still had a strong smell of smoke, and edges of tables had burn marks. Laminate tops on tables were broken with large pieces missing.

Where is the ash tray?

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Cons: Bull doze it and start over; good location but worn slap out! Everyone that I met there was mad because of the run down condition.
Called to confirm that I could get a ground floor and a non-smoking room and was told that this would be available due to cardiac and knee issues when we got there half of the hotel was shut down and under some form of reconstruction, no pool, very limited parking. Eneded up on the second floor which as you leave the elevator you are greated by a sign saying this is a smoke free floor, yet it stinks like a big ash tray with a can of frebreeze in it. Next morning as we left the room the hallways smelled like a skunk, The room was clean but wall paper was pelling in both the room and hallways and lamp shades were torn. Mattresses were both very old and bowed in the middle like a pringle chip, TV remote did not work BUT, the A/C worked fine.

Disappointed in Hotel

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: The security for the Concert, not Employees of the Hotel, were very helpful in assisting us. We appreciate their help after traveling a long day.
Arrived at Hotel very late in the evening to check in. Discovered Hotel was booked not only with a Concert that ran until 4:00am but the Hotel was blocked off in many areas due to this concert and security reasons. With the limited availability of the staff, it was very difficult to navigate to locate our room. It was also very disappointing in that the room air conditioner was not working correctly, there were no sheets in the room for the pull out couch, and the breakfast that was supposed to be included was not due to the restaurant being closed. This should have been disclosed on the website during booking. May have chosen another location.Would not return or recommend this Hotel at this time.

Ghetto hotel

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: Tear it down and start over its the only way to remove that smell
Location: Everything was centralized there great location.
Staff was excellent, overall condition of hotel was terrible, holes in walls, mold and cigarette smell everywhere. However the room was clean. Not what we would expect from a hotel near the airport. Due to the condition of the hotel it attracts a seedy element. Also they advertise an indoor and outdoor pool both of which were closed. They advertise a bar which was closed as well.

hotel dirty

Posted Aug 3, 2015
The room wasn't so bad, however the carpets to the room were totally disgusting with big black stains on them. Our ice machine was out of service, had to go to two floors down to get ice. I have stayed at this hotel several years ago, and I was shocked to how it went downhill. I was charged 30 extra dollars I was not aware of, but according to them after I called about it, I will get that back. Also, where I parked, I didn't feel safe walking to the hotel by myself.

Worst experience I've had. Not worth the money. Carpet was stained, hotel was a extended stay for people who cannot get a apartment , broken down cars in the parking lot. People were fighting constantly in the rooms the "lived in".it was loud could barely sleep and for what they charged per night one would have thought you could get a replacement coffee but no they didn't have any more.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. They said they were in theiddle if renovations. I seen none. Six floors and all had ice machines. You guessed it the one on the second floor was the only one that worked.

Pros: The clerks tried
Cons: Everything except the front staff
Location: Not safe on this side of the highway........
I did not feel safe in this hotel!! The surrounding area was very suspicious and after checking in, I had to walk across the street to an unlit area, to get to where the rooms were located. Since they recently had flooding, there were not a lot of guests and no air in the lobby, but the night clerk and morning clerks were nice. In addition, the side with the rooms smelled old and did not look very clean. The tiny continental breakfast was put together with 2 types of Danish and a bagel option. Finally, the security of the hotel was very questionable. I had to go out about 10:00 p.m., after dark, and the automatic doors in the front did not require a key, just walk in. I would not ever book this hotel again. Furthermore, it was not a 3 star, maybe a 1 to 1 1/2, and that is being generous. Very disappointed!!!
