Hotel close to Waterfront View

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Safe, comfortable, clean, spacious, easy to get around - upscale.
Cons: post some signs on how to get to 4th Street Live, Louisville Slugger Museum, Carriage rides, shopping malls, shopping, different restaurants nearby.
Location: Joe's Crab Shack on the River, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, Spaghetti Factory, Shopping with in 15 miles, Carriage Rides, Walking by the River,
Great experience. Did a mom & son weekend - celebrated son's 29th birthday. Had a comfortable spacious room with a great waterfront view. Easy walk to Joe's Crab Shack overlooking the River - delicious food & view. Right next door to Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse and down the street from 4th Street Live with several other restaurants/bars. Easy parking, easy access to everything - clean, comfortable and cheery staff. Would recommend.

Nice location, walk to much of downtown. Great views. Lounge in the walk-through area is unique and cool. Nice quiet room, good shower. Two sinks. Would recommend.

Beautiful hotel on the Ohio river

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Location to downtown attractions
Cons: Parking was confusing and there was a bit of confusion as to whether or not it was free. Contact the hotel prior to checking in to sort out these deta
Location: Walking distance to whiskey row, Ali museum and Louisville slugger bat museum
Checking in was a bit of a hassle as there was a conference going on at the same time, so the staff was very busy. They were friendly and attentive. Hotel has a lot of grandure and amenities within.. Love that it was on the Ohio River and we could sit on the balcony watching the barges and Belle of Loiusville depart nightly.

Good location needs update

Broken drawer, chair had tares, room was clean but hardware was damaged. Could be a great hotel with it's location but just needs a long over haul

Weekend family trip.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Hotel was very nice and staff was great when we were in contact with them. For the age of the hotel it was very well kept!! Long lines at check in was a shock but moved very quickly!!! Line for elevators at check in and check out were a bit of a test of patience though. Lots of people ended up taking the stairs at check out due to everyone leaving at once and elevators being full. Kids and I took stairs and wife the elevator, but had to go all the way up just to get back down with a large cooler that was too much to carry 10 stories down.

Good location but...

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Location is good however for the outrageous price I am sure there are nicer places just as close to the downtown area. This hotel room was dirty. Lots of hairs in the bathroom and the towels are ripped and dis colored. The floor from the elevator to my room smelled horrible. The room size was nice tho and the view. The pool was nice too.

Locatio, location, location

It has a nostalgic early 70s flair to it. There were some stained walls that were troubling for us. Check in line was the longest I had ever seen. Didn't need a car the entire stay which was wonderful after logging 2k miles.
