Close to downtown, convenient

Bathrooms need updated . Pillows way too small . Overall cleanliness less than desirable, dirty carpet in the elevators. Staff very friendly and courteous .

Nice hotel, walking distance from downtown sights.

Location: Louisville Slugger Museum, Mohammed Ali Center, Slugger Field
Came to town to do some sight seeing and very pleased with the hotel. Location was great. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was great. Bed very comfortable. Very quiet, never heard anyone while in room.

Older Hampton Inn

Pros: The breakfast and location
Cons: Bathroom, elevator, hallways
Location: Great location in the middle of downtown. It is in walking distance of event centers and restaurants.
I love Hampton Inn and Suites and do my best to use the hotel chain whenever I travel. There were great reviews for this hotel and I figured it would live up to the hype. However, it did not. It is an older hotel, the elevator was dirty, the halls were hot, and the bathroom was old. There were some positives. The breakfast and staff were great. However, it did not make up for the mediocre room. Also, why charge for parking when you just have a run of the mill parking lot out in the open? Even in downtown, that is a rip-off! If you are going to charge more because you are located in downtown, just add that to your nightly rate. Do not nickle and dime people for self parking like I should be grateful you allow me to park by the hotel I am staying at. I was charged $6 a night to park out in the open. Ridiculous.

The shuttle service was an added bonus. Close to attractions.

Bathroom was dirty. Didn't look like it had been thoroughly cleaned in a while.

Pros: location...despite road renovation in Louisville
Cons: Nothing quickly comes to mind.
Good breakfasts for long work days! Room comfortable and clean.
