Surprisingly Disappointing

Pros: Front Desk Staff Was Very Helpful
Cons: Cleaning Service. Upgrade the dated furnishings (furniture, window treatments, lighting). More soundproofing. Refrigerator and Microwave in rooms.
Location: Conveniently located to major highways (71N to Cincinnati and 71S to Louisville., Close to Baptist Medical Center, Ford Plant, Summit Mall.
Good and Bad. Stayed at hotel as due to proximity to hospital I was having surgery at. Hampton has never disappointed until now. The Good. Front Desk staff very helpful. Asked for extra pillows and towels - quickly delivered. Asked for a refrigerator (surprised that they didn't already have one - that was delivered quickly). The Bad. Without a doubt we left 2 items in the room. Called the evening we left - told they would check. No call back. Called Next Day, told they would check and call back - no call. Called 2 Days later...told nothing in room but would check again with cleaning staff. Day 3, called again, told a call back within the hour...no call. Called 5 hours later, very helpful man, said he didn't find anything and asked me to leave a message with his manager to see what they could do. That was 2 days ago - no call back. Room not cleaned. Stayed 2 nights, returned from surgery in the afternoon, room was not cleaned. Extra Pillows and towels delivered and trash removed but bed not made, towels on floor from that morning. Not very Hampton Inn like. NOISY. Maid simply flips the latch to keep the door from locking...so you hear a constant thump...thump...thump almost every 30 seconds. Hours of this gets very old.. You can easily hear bath being run above you, people in hallway. While we heard the maid...never came. Overall. This hotel is in need of an upgrade. Decor is showing age and is inconsistent in it's furnishings.

Wrong room.

Pros: The location was acceptable.
Cons: Better staff.
Location: Close to the interstate.
I mistakenly booked an accessible room online and the check in counter would not give me another room even though `the parking lot was almost empty.The hotel fitness center was next to my room. I heard the treadmill at a very loud volume. The breakfast was complimentary but horrible. The eggs at 7:00am were already hard on the edges. The selection was poor. The bench seat in the shower had algae visible.

Great stay over all! The hotel itself is a little bit older but has been somewhat recently updated. It is very clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent and was able to accommodate multiple requests.

My son and I were only there for a 2 night stay but I wish it was longer! The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in excellent condition. We stayed in Cleveland for the first part of our trip at a more expensive hotel but when we got to Louisville we were pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this hotel highly. From now on we are staying at a Hampton Inn!
