When we arrived it was around midnight. There were people on the balconies smoking pot. Walking past the rooms there was also people smoking pot inside of their rooms. Blankets appeared to have nail polish or some sort of marker drawings on it. then in the middle of the night there was bugs crawling on the walls in the bathroom! when I looked again it was ROACHES!!! We proceeding to gather our things and go check out. The receptionist seemed nice at first, then informed me they weren't going to refund me both nights I had booked. Then proceeded to tell me that they are not corporate so she couldn't give me a corporate number. Even though they are a franchise they are still supposed to be held to a certain standards.

We had a couple terrible experiences in the night we stayed! Someone’s room was broke into and trashed, and then got chased by a guests pitbull.

I have stayed here a bunch and never had a problem until recently. It used to be the cleanest place you could get for the money, but the last 2 times I have stayed this week in 2 different rooms, I have found roaches. I don't do bugs. I won't be coming back.

Cockroach hotel.
We have stayed here many times and this was the unfortunately a bad experience. We went to our room and noticed a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom. We asked to trade rooms and was disappointed that that room was also infested.

Right price, right location. VERY small room, one of us had to sit on bed and lean back for other to pass in room. Poorly repaired damage to one wall. Hot water, decent shower. Overall pretty clean, no complaints there. 4-night stay, only saw housekeeping once. When we requested they come back later in the morning...we never saw them again. No clean towels, or any type of cleaning for entire stay.

When we checked in it was fine but the girl at the front really didn't know anything about Louisville. I think a front desk clerk should know her city so she can answer questions about it. There were roaches in the room, on the bed, on the table and floor. The sink and toilet were clogged. Really the only thing good about the room was the shower.

There was a dead mouse in my room. When I tried to get another room the other room smelled like a chain smoker was smoking in it even though it was a smoke free room. And after coming back from the trip I now have a rash potentially from bed bugs. Also there were people there that were on some serious drugs hanging around the balconies. If you could just pay some more money and go somewhere else I recommend it because it wasn't worth it for me.

I wish there was a ‘they meant well’ option. The staff was extremely friendly- they even offered a ride to the festival we were attending… but the ride fell through. We did see one ‘bug’ and a guy came to spray right away…but he didn’t knock, used his key and opened the door on us is bed…but luckily we were clothed. The lobby coffee was excellent…when the machine was working. Overall, not a terrible place just a little overpriced for what you get.

When arriving notice a lot of people just hanging around the parking lot that look like drug dealers and people standing around by their rooms that look to be women of the night I was worried about going out after dark due to the conditions. Meaning would be afraid for me and my daughter not to be approached by the people that looked like they stayed there long term, soliciting drugs, or sex was glad to leave early in the morning. The room was dirty didn’t want to even take a shower because of the filth check the mattresses was worried of bedbugs, which thank God there were none would have left but our room was not refundable and I couldn’t afford another room somewhere else we were there to spend the night to be able to make an appointment with my daughters liver transplant doctor. I was very disappointed with our stay

I was expecting to have a hold on my card for a deposit per the website but it was not mentioned at check in. My son also had a room he arrived 30 min later and a different person checked him in and persisted in a cash deposit when I told them I had a room with no deposit he did not make my son pay a deposit. Someone came running in the office saying a woman was in the parking lot claiming a man in another room attempted to rape her and he's walking thru the parking lot the police showed up. There was a woman going through the dumpster in the parking lot, people fighting in the parking lot at 2:30a.m. and and someone tried getting in our room in the middle of the night and people hanging out in the breezeways. I did not find live bugs but I found dead roaches behind the t.v and at check out I was not offered a receipt and the two customers in front of me had to ask for one.

Red Roof Nightmare
It was very hot the day we checked in. The air conditioning could not cool the room down. The bed had what felt like 2" foam over bed springs you could feel underneath. The front desk said they could not change to another room as they were all booked for the night. My suspicion was that because we booked through Hotels.com, the hotel got less money for the room and didn't care much for us.
