This is absolutely our favorite place to stay in Louisville. I would not recommend it as family (kid) friendly but a great romantic spot for couples. The decor is gorgeous and creates a nice ambiance. The staff is always attentive and professional. The rooms, while small, are well decorated (especially the glass showers). Downfalls - First is that the location is isolated from mych that you want to see so driving or Uber are a must but not over expensive. Second, the rooms are dimly lit. While it adds to the vibe and can be detrimental when trying to find something in the bottom of a bag. Thirdly, our room's mattress - while soft - felt as though someone had dropped a wrecking ball un the middle of it. We both would get sucked in like that giant beast in Star Wars was attempting to eat us. It did make us laugh so there's that. Fourth, rooms have no refrigerator or microwave. Again not a huge deal breaker but would be nice at times. Oh yeah, no coffee maker either... ugh!!! Overall though, we absolutley love the VU Guesthouse. We will back again soon.
