Nice hotel near to Sanctuary

Posted Nov 25, 2017
Pros: The reception staff were extremely helpful when we had to book a taxi from the hotel to Toulouse airport.
Cons: The choice & temperature of breakfast hot buffet. The prices in the bistro.
Location: The hotel is only a few mins walk from sanctuary & grotto. There is an Asian restaurant just around the corner that served cheap, hot, tasty food
The hotel was a few mins walk from the sanctuary & grotto, which was excellent. The reception staff were extremely helpful & dealt with all enquiries promptly. We had booked a triple & twin rooms & were disappointed to find the triple room was the same size as the small twin, with an extra bed squeezed in. So it was very cramped for 3 adults. The hotel bistro was expensive for the standard of food which was just OK. The buffet breakfast was 12 euros & was a disappointment. I'm not sure whether the choice was limited because of being out of season, but the "hot" choices were very tepid scrambled eggs & tough over cooked bacon. The "cold" choices were plain yoghurt, tinned fruit cocktail & prunes. The fresh baguettes were nice. There was a choice of teas. The hot chocolate from the machine was tasteless. The restaurant & housekeeping staff were very pleasant & helpful when asked. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It is part of a chain that has a few other hotels within a few mins walk. Next time I would try meals in the other hotels, or eat in local restaurants.

Location makes the difference.

Good location, very near side entrance - most welcome with all the walking one will be doing at the holy grounds until late at night. Quite tight though, for the 3-bedroom we got, esp as luggage has to be laid out repeatedly. Good basic needs & generally clean.

Pros: It was good value for my budget
Cons: a very small minority of staff unfriendly
I found most of the staff friendly and helpful. Although I a very mobile, it is in a very good location for people less able to walk distances.

Pros: I want they change and put new towels, and the cleaning crew don' wake up early
Cons: Put ne towels, shampoo, and better soaps.
Location: The location is perfect it' central to the grotto
The rooms are to small, they put towels that looks dirty and some of them are tears and other with a big hole. The cleaning crew wake you up early to clean the room. If you don't' open your room they don't coming back until next day.

Volunteer week

Posted Sep 1, 2017 on Hotels
Due to volunteering, my shift times meant I didn't spend a lot of time in my room. It would have been nice to have milk capsules to put in my coffee, instead of having to ask for milk at the bar. The room was clean and house keeping was daily. For the price paid it was good value, however the room and shower could do with updating, but that would inevitably push up the price!
