Very nice hotel. Fabulous breakfast.Posted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff and great breakfast. Wifi connection was much better than most hotels I've stayed at.
Cons: Having more tourist information leaflets.
Location: Very near to Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth. Well worth a trip especially if passionate about neolithic monuments.
Lovely hotel with a very nice clean room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Well situated for going to all the attractions in the Boyne Valley. Can't comment on the leisure facilities as the swimming pool, jacuzzi etc were closed for refurbishment during our stay. However this did not make our stay any less enjoyable as there was so much to do out and about we wouldn't have had time to go for a swim.

Good ValuePosted Jul 6, 2015 on Hotels
This is a nice hotel in a lovely setting close to Drogheda. I thought that the staff were very good - friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty with a good breakfast offering. The hotel itself is somewhat dated, but I noted that it is currently being revamped. Given time, I expect that this will be a very good hotel. As it is, it is very good value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending it. Drogheda wouldn't normally be on my list of places to stay, but should the need arise again, I would certainly stay in the Boyne Valley Hotel.

Stop here all the time with my son, staff are great, pool is good and the grounds are great for walking or playing, rooms aren't new but are clean and well maintained.

Slane Castle weekend break concertPosted Jun 5, 2015
Decent surroundings. Private country lodge type hotel. Reasonable prices as booked as part of package for a 2 night stay for Slane Castle Foo Fighters concert (which was awesome by the way) Staff accomodating. Breakfast staff were pleasant and a range of cooked and continental breakfast options available. Also included spa usage though did not use. Though best if you have a car to get round as a number of tourist attracts within driving distance. They were undergoing refurbishment when I stayed and the room I had was spacious nad adequate but did look like it needed a refresh so perhaps the other rooms will be updated in time. Overall enjoyed my stay and will be coming back possible with parents as they have a couple of accessibility options.
