Lovely and close

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: I loved everything, its location, the services, the staff, the character of the building, the rooms...
Location: Louver museum...colonies De Buren, cafes shops, we walked to the Arc de Triomphe at the sunset and could see the Eiffel Tower twinkly lights.
We walked to the Louver museum and to few things close by. it was so convenient...there was the Dior show close by and colonies De Buren....The Room service were excellent and the restaurant as well...The food was amazing...The staff were very kind, nice and helpful. Helped us book to wherever we wanted to go so we did not queue for anything...The hotel it self needs renovation and is going through one...However, it has a beautiful character that is shining through the red lobby and the drawings on the wall...the lift and the staircase are amazing...loved them...The rooms were super clean and the bed comfy...I would go again!!

There Couldn't Be A Better Location in Paris!

Posted Oct 9, 2017
A wonderful classic Paris building. While it was built in the 1880's only the charm from that era remains.. This is a great location right across the street from the Louvre the Academie Francais! Other significant landmarks such as the the Opera House, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and Arc de Triomphe are within reasonable walking distance. Public transportation, cabs and bicycles (if you are brave) are readily available also. If Versailles is one of your destinations it is a short, simple to navigate, train ride away. Our room was comfortable and a little larger than some of the rooms we stayed in in Europe. Be advised that the hotel is under renovation but we were never disturbed by any of the construction. The staff is simply tremendous. They are friendly and very helpful. Concierge services are superior to most that I have experienced. The hotel restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced and there are numerous other options for dining in the surrounding neighborhoods. Cafes, coffee shops, brasseries, pastry shops abound. There is everything from simple shopping to extravagant brand name shopping within easy walking distance.

Luxury Hotel next to Louvre

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Cannot think of anything.
Location: Every major museum etc is a short walk away.
After many years of visiting Paris and staying in modest hotels we decided to push the boat out and stay in the centre in a luxury hotel. From entering to leaving four days later the staff were fantastic. Professional, making us welcome and ensuring we had a relaxed stay. We had a suite of corner rooms on the fourth floor overlooking the Louvre and a view of the Opera. Very comfortable and the welcome bottle of Bordeaux was a very nice touch. The hotel is being refurbished but it did not impact once we were in our room. The bistro / restaurant served an excellent breakfast with a huge choice. The dinner menu was comprehensive but not too long. The food was very well prepared. We cannot wait to return the next time we are in Paris.

In the center , easy access to everything

Location is perfect just in front of the louvre museum. we got a beautiful view of the louvre , love it! But it's under construction so the nice front entrance is closed, we were not bothered by the noises of construction, just sometimes had the noises from the roads! As the hotel building was built since many centuries, the doors made a lot of noises when closed!! The services were very good and staff were helpful. Overall is good, we like it!!

Pros: great location
Cons: Overpriced for the tiny cramped room
Location: very central location, easy to get to everything.
The first room we had was noisy from neighboring room. They moved us to a quieter room, which helped enormously.

Very difficult to deal with.

Posted Aug 18, 2017
The management of this hotel-- "Miss Alice" as she is known never responds to calls/inquiries. We had a terrible experience trying to change one day on our itinerary due to airline schedule changes. We ended up paying for three nights instead of two. Expedia told us she was the only one who could assist in amending the reservation. She refused to return calls and when we arrived at the hotel we were told she was "on holiday." I will never use Expedia or stay at another Hilton branded hotel.
